- Gary Edward Gitchel is an American actor, born in Memphis, Tennessee. He was raised in Prairie Village, Kansas. While attending Shawnee Mission East High School, he was an active member of the rock music community of Kansas City as an electric bass guitarist. Gary is a graduate of Theater Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and got his start in professional acting as a Missouri Repertory Theater (LORT) apprentice. After a season with the Royal Lichtenstein Quarter-Ring Sidewalk Circus as a principal clown in 1977, he found his way to Los Angeles and Hollywood. Gary became a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in 1978 and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA) in 1979. He is a veteran of live theater, episodic television, feature & short films, and TV commercials. In the U.S., Gary has worked in the Los Angeles, New York, and Texas markets for over four decades. Gary's career took an upswing in 2014 when he moved to Taipei, Taiwan.
