A new episode of the Wtf Really Happened to This Horror Movie? video series has just been released, and in this one we’re looking into the real world crimes that inspired director Brian Yuzna’s 1996 horror film The Dentist (watch it Here). To find out all about it, check out the video embedded above.
Scripted by Stuart Gordon, Dennis Paoli, and Charles Finch, The Dentist has the following synopsis: Dr. Alan Feinstone is a rich and successful Beverly Hills dentist. There’s only one problem, he’s insane. Dr. Feistone loves perfection, and he expects it of everyone. Unfortunately, no one is perfect. This unacceptable fact annoys the good doctor and leads him to commit his one small imperfection: murder.
The film stars Corbin Bernsen, Linda Hoffman, Michael Stadvec, Ken Foree, Tony Noakes, Molly Hagan, Patty Toy, Jan Hoag, Virginya Keehne, Earl Boen, Christa Sauls, Mark Ruffalo, Lise Simms,...

"Whatever caused that mayhem... there's no way it was human." High Octane Pics has released an official trailer for a peculiar sci-fi horror film titled Interpreters, which is a short version of the odd "Interpreters: A C & Earth Chronicle - Quantum 1" full title. The film premiered at a small genre festival last year, but that's it, and will be out to watch on VOD this month. An unusual perpetrator using advanced technology murders the inhabitants of "Sullen Community" while a former black operator and Cid Agent investigates with the local police force uncovering a darker scheme involving alien invaders of some sort. The film stars Ace Marrero (who looks too much like Chris Messina), Terry Maratos, Rachel Kylian, Christopher Kriesa, Manny Hernandez, and Ashley Bracken. This is such a dark trailer it's hard to see anything happening. Another of these indie sci-fi films with too ambitious of a concept for the filmmaker to handle.

Stars: Zane Holtz, Glen Powell, Kiowa Gordon, Philip Burke, Johnny Sequoyah, J. Larose, Rudy Youngblood, Castille Landon, Christopher Kriesa | Written and Directed by Russell Friedenberg
From the films from actor/writer/director Russell Friedenberg that I have seen, it seems – at least to me – like he has a fascination with three things: Native American culture; the human psyche and the personal demons we all have; and the idea of the stranger among us (even if that “stranger” is familiar to us). With Wind Walkers he combines all three subjects in a story that follows group of friends and family as they descend into the Everglades swamplands for their annual hunting trip, only to discover that they are the ones being hunted by a malevolent entity tracking them through the Everglades…
Now the idea of supernatural spirits is nothing new in Native American culture, or in horror movies. However Friedenberg poses...

A group of friends and family descend into the swamp lands of the Everglades for their annual hunting trip, only to discover that they are the ones being hunted.
