Goofs

After Jode killed Hummel in the cemetery, there was no blood on Hummel's face as he lay next to the open grave; but later during Nancy's funeral, there was a lot of blood pouring down the right side of his face, and later when Polly found him in the tomb, his face was covered in blood.

During the opening announcement, the pendulum on the clock is swinging steadily. When the shot switches to live action and pans down, it is barely moving.

A body could not possibly undergo significant decomposition within five hours, especially if the victim had been buried alive.

"Midnight funeral" is a phrase which could only be found in either a Hollywood B movie or an 18-19th century gothic novel - not in 20th century USA.

The closing credits incorrectly place Ed Quigley among the characters who died during the movie.

In the closing credits the last name of character Ed Quigley is misspelled "Guigley."

In the closing credits, Nancy Wetherby is mistakenly named Nancy Tyloe.

When Polly finds Marge in the doctor's office, it is obvious the door begins to open before she turns the key. Also, when she enters the room, the click of a light switch is heard as the lights cone on, but there is no light switch on the wall.

When Nancy alludes to the possibility of having an abortion, Rod begins shaking his head silently to her before speaking. As both her brother-in-law and doctor, he would know Nancy was blind and wouldn't be able to see his response.

When Polly was lying on the couch telling Rod about the phone call, she was distraught and upset and making crying sounds, yet there were no visible tears anywhere on her face or eyes.
