- Dr. Loomis: Ten years ago, he tried to kill Laurie Strode. Now he wants her daughter.
- Sheriff Meeker: Are you talkin' about Jamie Lloyd?
- Dr. Loomis: Wherever she is, that little child is in mortal danger.
- Sheriff Meeker: Myers has been locked up since before she was born. He's never laid eyes on her!
- Dr. Loomis: Six bodies, Sheriff! That's what I've seen between here and Ridgemont! A filling station in flames! I'm telling you Michael Myers is here, in this town! He's here to kill that little girl and anybody who gets in his way!
- Jack Sayer: You're huntin' it, ain't ya? Yeah, you're huntin' it, all right. Just like me.
- Dr. Loomis: What are you hunting, Mr. Sayer?
- Jack Sayer: Apocalypse, End of the World, Armageddon. It's always got a face and a name. I've been huntin' the bastard for 30 years, give or take. Come close a time or two. Too damn close! You can't kill damnation, Mister. It don't die like a man dies.
- Dr. Loomis: I know that, Mr. Sayer.
- [at Ridgemont; a loud, distant shriek]
- Man Attendant: Jesus!
- Security Guard: Jesus ain't got nothin' to do with this place.
- Dr. Loomis: [encounters the Shape in gas station] Michael? Why now? You waited ten years. I knew this day would come. Don't go to Haddonfield. If you want another victim, take me. But leave those people in peace. Please, Michael?
- [pause]
- Dr. Loomis: Goddamn you.
- [Loomis shoots]
- Deputy Logan: What are we doin'?
- Sheriff Meeker: Making sure no one can get in here.
- Deputy Logan: Isn't all this a little paranoid?
- Sheriff Meeker: If you'd seen that police station, you wouldn't even ask.
- [the power worker sees Michael Myers]
- Power Worker: Hey, you! This is city property! No trespassing! What are you, deaf? Don't try that Halloween shit with me.
- [Rachel catches Brady with Kelly]
- Brady: I mean, you blow off our date at the last minute...
- Rachel Carruthers: So, you hop on to the next best thing? I thought you were different from other guys.
- Brady: Oh, I'm different. It's just- it's just that... I just- I just got pissed off, that's all.
- Rachel Carruthers: Oh, really? Well, I'll just let you get back to little Miss Hot Panties.
- Security Guard: Yeah, the one you're picking up, just thinkin' about him gives me the willies. A decade ago, Halloween night, he murdered sixteen people, maybe more, trying to get to his sister. Nearly got her, too. But his doctor, of all people, shot him six times, then he set him on fire. Both of them nearly burned to death. Yeah, I'll be glad to see this one gone. Oh, yes indeed-dee!
- Dr. Loomis: We're not talking about any ordinary prisoner, Hoffman! We are talking about evil on two legs.
- Sheriff Meeker: Oh, yeah... I catch you gropin' my daughter, I'll use that shotgun on you. You understand?
- [Brady nods]
- Kelly Meeker: I didn't know you and Brady had anything, okay?
- Rachel Carruthers: You knew. You just didn't care.
- Kelly Meeker: He's not married. Besides, I've got a right to do what's best for me.
- Rachel Carruthers: Don't you mean what you do best?
- Kelly Meeker: Wise up to what men want, Rachel... or Brady won't be the last man you lose to another woman.
- [Earl is driving his pickup truck down the road; Orrin believes he has spotted Michael Myers]
- Orrin Gateway: [tapping on the roof of Earl's truck] There he is!
- [Earl drives over to the area and parks the car; he, Orrin, Big Al, and Unger exit the truck with their guns]
- Orrin Gateway: I've seen his face. Right there, Al. Right there in the bushes.
- [the bushes move and all four men open fire]
- Earl: Come on.
- [They all rush to the bushes and discover they have mistakenly shot and killed an innocent man]
- Unger: Shit, Earl. It's Ted Hollister.
- Earl: [to Orrin] You dumb son of a bitch. You said you saw Myers.
- Dr. Loomis: We'll hear some sirens soon.
- Jamie Lloyd: Then we'll be safe?
- Dr. Loomis: Yeah.
- Jamie Lloyd: You don't believe that, do you?
- [checks door, then pauses]
- Dr. Loomis: No...
- [after all the cops at the station are slaughtered]
- Sheriff Meeker: How could a man do this, Loomis? Tell me.
- Dr. Loomis: This isn't a man.
- Sheriff Meeker: What is he? Tell me! What the hell are we dealing with?
- Dr. Loomis: Evil.
- [the attendants are in the ambulance with Michael Myers, unaware that he is coming out of his coma]
- Woman Attendant: Did Hoffman say anything about living relatives?
- Man Attendant: Yeah. A niece living in his hometown.
- Woman Attendant: And?
- Man Attendant: "And"? She's too young to be his legal ward.
- Woman Attendant: So, the state owns him? Great.
- [Loomis and Dr. Hoffman arrive at a river where the ambulance containing Michael Myers crashed into]
- Dr. Hoffman: When did this happen?
- Trooper #1: Sometime in the night. They probably lost the road in the storm and came down the embankment. It happens.
- Dr. Hoffman: An accident?
- Trooper #1: Yes, sir?
- Dr. Loomis: Do you believe that?
- Dr. Hoffman: Why shouldn't I?
- Rachel Carruthers: We have to get out of Haddonfield. The state police are on their way. Let them handle it.
- Unger: I don't know about you, Earl, but that makes sense to me. Let's get the hell out!
- Big Al: We've got a police station. Let the troopers have him. That's what they get paid for.
- Earl: Screw it. Let's get out of here.
- Sheriff Meeker: Hey, I got a town full of beer bellies running around in the dark with shotguns! Who's gonna be next? Somebody's wife? Somebody's kid? I can't stand by for that.
- Dr. Loomis: I need to speak with Sheriff Brackett.
- Deputy Pierce: Well, then you'll have to travel about three-thousand miles south of here.
- Dr. Loomis: What?
- Deputy Pierce: Brackett retired in '81. He went to St. Petersburg.
- Dr. Loomis: Why wasn't I notified?
- Dr. Hoffman: About what?
- Dr. Loomis: You know damn well about what! You let them take it out of here!
- Dr. Hoffman: Now where are you going?
- Dr. Loomis: Haddonfield. It's a four hour drive. You can reach me through the local police. If you don't find him in four hours, I'm sure I will.
- Man Attendant: I'd assume Dr. Loomis would be here. Michael Myers is still his patient.
- Dr. Hoffman: If Loomis read memos he'd be here. Fortunately, his position is more ceremonial than medical. And with Myers gone, my hope is that he'll either transfer, retire, or die.
- Sheriff Meeker: Let it be, Earl. Let the police handle it.
- Earl: Like the last time? How many people killed back then? How many kids?
- Darlene Carruthers: We'll be at the Fallbrooks. The number's next to the phone.
- Rachel Carruthers: I know, and next to that is police, hospital, fire, and probably the National Guard.
- Richard Carruthers: I want you two to have fun tonight. Make sure Jamie's in bed by 9:30.
- Rachel Carruthers: You're gonna be late. You don't wanna blow your promotion.
- Darlene Carruthers: Don't make fun. Tonight is the difference between vacations in Bermuda, and spending another two weeks with your grandmother in Cleveland.
- Darlene Carruthers: You'll have to watch Jamie tonight.
- Rachel Carruthers: Not tonight. I've got that date with Brady. You know how important that is.
- Darlene Carruthers: Well, tonight is very important for your father and me.
- Rachel Carruthers: Can't you find somebody else?
- Darlene Carruthers: It's too late.
- Rachel Carruthers: What am I suppose to tell Brady? "Sorry, but I've gotta babysit my foster sister. Go and have fun by yourself"?
- Darlene Carruthers: It's not exactly the end of the world, for goodness' sake.
- Rachel Carruthers: Sure, it is. I think tonight Brady was ready to make a commitment. But now, my future relationship, my engagement, my marriage, my children, and your grandchildren have all been wiped out because I have to babysit. Oh, joy.
- Jamie Lloyd: [standing at the doorway, hearing everything] I'm sorry I ruined everything. If I wasn't here, you can go out.
- [Rachel groans]
- Richard Carruthers: Good job, Rachel. That little girl needs all the love we can give her, and all you can do is think about yourself.
- Jamie Lloyd: Oh, come alive, Rachel. Please, come alive! Don't be dead. You can't be dead! Come alive, Rachel!
- Security Guard: [First lines] All metal objects into the tray. Purpose of visit?
- Man Attendant: A patient pickup and transfer to Smith's Grove.
- Security Guard: You're late.
- Man Attendant: Yeah. Should be on the road.
- Security Guard: Yeah. Hell of a night, eh?
- Man Attendant: Real charmer.
- Security Guard: Yeah. I'll take you down there.
- Man Attendant: Alright.
- Security Guard: Be right back.
- 2nd Security Officer: Okay.
- Security Guard: Yeah, first time here, huh?
- Woman Attendant: Hope it's the last time.
- Security Guard: You never get used to the faces. Never.
- Man Attendant: [Frightening scream is heard] Jesus!
- Security Guard: Jesus ain't got nothing to do with this place. Come on.
- Security Guard: [Getting on the elevator] Yeah, this is where society dumps it's worst nightmares.
- Security Guard: [Elevator begins descending] Yeah, the one you're picking up? Just thinking about him gives me the willies. Yeah, a decade ago, Halloween night, he murdered 16 people, maybe more, trying to get to his sister. Nearly got her, too. But his Doctor, of all people, shot him 6 times. Then he sets him on fire. Both of them nearly burned to death. Yeah, I'll be glad to see this one gone. Yes, indeed-ie.
- Security Guard: [Elevator reaches desired floor] Welcome to Hell.
- Dr. Hoffman's Assistant: Doctor?
- Dr. Hoffman: Yes?
- Dr. Hoffman's Assistant: The transfer personnel are here.
- Dr. Hoffman: Smith's Grove?
- Man Attendant: Yes.
- Dr. Hoffman: I'm Dr. Hoffman, Medical Administrator.
- Man Attendant: Has he been prepped?
- Dr. Hoffman: Ready to go. Who signs for him?
- Man Attendant: Ah, I do.
- Dr. Hoffman: Outside.
- Man Attendant: [to Woman Attendant] Check him out.
- Man Attendant: [Outside Michael's room] I'd assume Dr. Loomis'd be here. Michael Myers is still his patient.
- Dr. Hoffman: If Loomis read memos, he'd be here. Fortunately, his position is more ceremonial than medical. And with Myers gone, my hope is that he'll either transfer, retire... or die.
- [Hands copy of slip to Male Attendant]
- Woman Attendant: Alright! Let's move him.
- Richard Carruthers: Damn it! Darlene!
- [Shows her his ruined tie]
- Darlene Carruthers: There's another tie in the laundry room next to your blue slacks
- [She goes to answer the ringing telephone]
- Darlene Carruthers: Hello?
- Richard Carruthers: Honey, I can't wear this, it has a spot on it. I've got a 10:30 with Chuck.
- Darlene Carruthers: Hang on, Mrs. Pierce. Not that tie, on the side!. That's not the only thing you're eating, Rachel!
- Richard Carruthers: Mom, I'm on a diet. You want an oinker for a daughter?
- Richard Carruthers: Found it!
- Rachel Carruthers: Sorry, Mrs. Pierce. Do you suppose Susan could just bring her crutches? Oh, stupid question. Tell her I hope she feels better.
- [Hangs up]
- Rachel Carruthers: Susan's Mother, she can't babysit tonight!
- Richard Carruthers: Why not?
- Darlene Carruthers: Susan broke her ankle last night at the ice rink. Rachel?
- Rachel Carruthers: Mom, please.
- Darlene Carruthers: You'll have to watch Jamie tonight.
- Rachel Carruthers: Not tonight. I've got that date with Brady. You know how important that it is.
- Darlene Carruthers: Well, tonight's an import night to your Father and me.
- Rachel Carruthers: Can't you find somebody else?
- Darlene Carruthers: It's too late.
- Rachel Carruthers: What am I supposed to tell Brady? "Sorry, but I've got babysit my foster sister. Go and have fun by yourself".
- Darlene Carruthers: It's not exactly the end of the world, for goodness sake.
- Rachel Carruthers: [Jamie enters the room, as Rachel continues griping, not knowing Jamie is behind her] Sure it is. I think tonight, Brady was ready to make a commitment. But now future relationship, my engagement, my marriage, my children, and your grandchildren, have all been wiped out because I have to babysit.
- Darlene Carruthers: Rachel!
- Jamie Lloyd: I'm sorry I ruined everything. If I wasn't here, you could go out.
- [Storms off]
- Rachel Carruthers: [Feeling guilty] Ugh!
- Richard Carruthers: Good job, Rachel. That little girl needs all the love we can give her right now and all you can do is think about yourself?
- Rachel Carruthers: [She gets up and goes to Jamie's room, knocking on her door and entering her room] Jamie? I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I can go out with Brady some other night. It's no big deal.
- Jamie Lloyd: But he wants you to go out tonight. It's my fault you can't.
- Rachel Carruthers: Well, tonight, we're gonna do something better: We're gonna go Trick or Treating.
- Jamie Lloyd: I don't want to.
- Rachel Carruthers: It's Halloween. Don't you want to get dressed in a really scary costume and get some candy?
- Jamie Lloyd: [Doesn't respond]
- Rachel Carruthers: How about when I pick you up from school and we go get ice cream?
- Jamie Lloyd: Double scoops?
- Rachel Carruthers: [laughs] Double scoops. Now let's get some breakfast.
- Jamie Lloyd: [Sitting on the sofa, looking out the window, staring at the ambulance parked right in front of the house]
- Rachel Carruthers: Kiddo, it's 4 in the morning.
- Jamie Lloyd: I can't sleep.
- Rachel Carruthers: What is this? 4 nights in a row? You going for a record here? The 7-year-old insomniac's Hall of Fame?
- Jamie Lloyd: Do you love me, Rachel?
- Rachel Carruthers: Ugh. Serious questions tonight. Of course, I love you.
- Jamie Lloyd: Like a sister?
- Rachel Carruthers: Jamie, sometimes-...
- Jamie Lloyd: - -Like a real sister?
- Rachel Carruthers: We're not really sisters, Jamie, but that doesn't mean I love you any less.
- Jamie Lloyd: [Looks out the window again, the ambulance is gone and she sits down on the sofa, normally] Sure it does.
- Rachel Carruthers: I know you miss your parents, but it hasn't been that long.
- Jamie Lloyd: It's been 11 months.
- Rachel Carruthers: Your Mother used to babysit me. I bet you didn't know that.
- Jamie Lloyd: You're lucky. I wish she could do the same for me.
- Rachel Carruthers: Come on, Jamie. Let's go back to bed. Come on, Sunday.
- Rachel Carruthers: [In Jamie's room] Night-night. We'll have French Toast for breakfast, okay? Nightie-night.
- Sheriff Meeker: [Loomis sees Michael standing near a house] Is that him? Is that him.
- Dr. Loomis: Yes.
- [Now a second Michael appears to Loomis' right]
- Sheriff Meeker: Loomis.
- [points, just as a third Michael appears]
- Sheriff Meeker: Oh Christ, Doc.
- Dr. Loomis: Dear God.
- [Loomis and Meeker see that they are surrounded. Loomis aims his gun at the first Michael, who takes off his mask to reveal a teenage hooligan]
- Kid in Michael Myers Mask: Hey, don't shoot!
- [the other Michaels remove their masks to show it was all a prank. They run away laughing]
- Kid in Michael Myers Mask: Oh, that was great. Thought it was me, didn't you, Sheriff?
- Sheriff Meeker: Get home, dammit. There's a curfew. I catch your ass, it'll be a weekend in jail! You alright, Doc? Come on, we'll get to the station, we'll get these kids safe.
- Rachel Carruthers: [Jamie is shaken by what she had seen; Rachel comforts her] It's okay, it's okay.
