People feel more motivated to work hard when they feel a sense of ownership over their tasks. Empower your team by giving them responsibility as well as autonomy in their roles. Allow them to take charge of specific projects or initiatives, and trust them to lead. When they feel accountable, they are more likely to invest the effort required to overcome obstacles and limitations.

Resource requirements should always map to high impact initiatives. As a product person, being aware of the highest priority and the reason behind it is the first step to align your resources. Followed by that, communicating this to the team with an elaborate plan inclusive of context of all stakeholders is crucial to build equity of all team members in the initiative.

(edited)One thing I’ve found helpful is understanding the capabilities of your limited resources and trying to adjust your SOW has worked greatly for me! In just a recent project, unavailability of a BE engineer led to me trying to add “Scope” prioritization as a weight in my backlog - that helped me work on things that are more easily achievable rather than pursuing something that overloaded my engineering teams. Remember that even then, appreciating and celebrating the small wins throughout such tight sprints - always boosts morale and ensures proactive support from your team!
