Another amazing Greentown Labs ClimateTech Summit! AeroShield Materials CEO Elise Strobach provided insights into the ups and downs of running a startup in the HEATED QUESTIONS: FOUNDER EDITION session with Shiv Bhakta ☀️ of Active Surfaces and Dan McCollister from Rewiring America. Next up, members of AeroShield's team Alexander Eldaief and Lauren Morimoto were able to show off the latest prototypes from the lab during the innovation showcase. Climate is an existential issue, and events like this highlight just how many amazing people are working on world-changing ideas that can make the world a better and more sustainable place!

AeroShield Materials is honored to be a Phase 1 Winner in the American-Made Program Building Envelope Innovation Prize for Secondary Glazing Systems!! As one of seven winning teams, we are using our Phase 1 $50,000 cash prize to build prototype retrofits that use our super-insulating, transparent aerogels to create lightweight, cost-effective retrofits that go on top of existing windows to decarbonize the built environment. Did you know that 40% of commercial buildings in the US have single pane windows? No wonder building operational energy accounts for 37% of US energy use. We’re excited to work with Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy | U.S. Department of Energy to accelerate the development and production, and deployment of new secondary glazing systems!
