While waiting for a new heart, playing with toy trains brought Hazael the most joy. His family often took him the nearby train station and even used the train to travel to his medical appointments – all to keep Hazael smiling through the challenges. 💙 After a successful heart transplant, Hazael’s wish to go on a train trip was finally full steam ahead! 🚉

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
About us
At Make-A-Wish® America, we are more than a great place to work – our work is life-changing. We are an inclusive and diverse group of people who, through a mosaic of backgrounds, thoughts and experiences, are united in purposeful work. We are fueled and guided by our values – values that are represented in the inspired people we work with and the transformational work we do, every day. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the U.S. and in 50 countries worldwide. More than 40 years ago the inspiration for Make-A-Wish began with one little boy’s wish to be a police officer. Today, together with our volunteers, donors, staff and supporters, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 500,000 life-changing wishes and transformed countless lives worldwide. There is nothing more powerful than making a child’s wish come true. And at Make-A-Wish, we will stop at nothing to ensure every eligible child received a life-changing wish. We believe – and research shows – that a wish gives kids the resilience, courage and strength they need to fight their critical illnesses. A wish doesn’t signify an end or one happy moment in time … a wish truly has the power to transform lives. This is why wishes matter. This is Make-A-Wish. Mission: Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Corporate social responsibility isn’t just for consumer-facing brands. B2B companies like Leggett & Platt are proving that every industry can make a powerful difference. By partnering with Make-A-Wish to grant more wishes for children fighting critical illnesses, they demonstrate how CSR initiatives can drive business success and community impact. Partnerships like the one between Make-A-Wish and Leggett & Platt showcase how businesses can collaboratively make a positive impact. This new initiative is an inspiring example of how companies can integrate giving back into their core operations. Every square foot of Make-A-Wish branded flooring products sold through the end of 2025 will help us bring hope and joy to children fighting critical illnesses. This isn’t just philanthropy; it’s a strategic collaboration that benefits communities and businesses. How is your company making a difference in your industry? Share your CSR strategies and let’s discuss how businesses can contribute to meaningful change! 🌍 #BusinessForGood #CSRLeadership #B2BImpact

Thank you BuzzRx for raising over $1 million this year, which has contributed to the 783 wishes you have helped grant for wish kids across the country. We are incredibly grateful for your continued commitment to our mission of transforming the lives of children battling critical illnesses. 💙🌟 When BuzzRx discount card holders save on their medicines, we are able to bring happiness and joy to kids like Lydia, who was able to not only meet giraffes, but learn more about other animals she loves at the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York. Thank you BuzzRx, we look forward to creating more life-changing moments together.

A wish-come-true not only has the power to transport a child from hospital rooms or treatment to their favorite places full of anything but – it has the power to take them to galaxies far, far away. ⭐️ Since 1980, Disney and Make-A-Wish have created more than just magical moments together — we've crafted transformative experiences for wish kids and their families – and last week was no different! Blaze Your Path: A Star Wars Adventure, Disneyland Resort's first-ever large-scale wish granting event, provided wish kids and their families the chance to escape their daily struggles and immerse themselves in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. "This is special just for you, and we want you to have an absolutely amazing time," said Josh D'Amaro, Disney Experiences Chairman and Make-A-Wish America National Board Member, setting the tone for two joy-filled days full of unforgettable memories. As our Chief Chapter Advancement Officer Melissa Arias shared, "to watch the joy in their faces, to know that they’re getting to be children again … has just been truly inspiring." This is what happens when hope, imagination, and community come together.
