We're confronting one of the defining issues of our generation: the mental health crisis. Are you in?
About us
Who we are: Project Healthy Minds is a new millennial/Gen Z-driven non-profit startup focused on tackling one of the defining issues of our generation: the growing mental health crisis. The problem we're solving: 615 million people worldwide and 65 million Americans are diagnosed with a mental health condition, and yet 60% never get mental health support. There are three drivers of this "treatment gap": (1) the stigmatization of the health topic, (2) people don’t know where/how to access care, and (3) insurance constraints and a workforce shortage preclude too many people from being able to afford care. What we do: We're building a digital discovery marketplace (think Kayak.com or Expedia for discovering mental health services) -- to make it easier to find mental health care. We're building an unprecedented national anti-stigma and education campaign featuring celebrities -- to destigmatize mental health and meet millennials/Gen Z where they actually are. We're creating the first national standards for what businesses should do to better serve the mental health needs of their employees -- to expand availability of care.

Each year, Project Healthy Minds invites a world-class visionary to be the Artistic Curator for our World Mental Health Day Gala. We ask the artist to conceive of an immersive experience that is their commentary on mental health, stimulating cultural conversations and bringing this topic out of the shadows and into the zeitgeist. Their creative vision will serve as the theme for the gala. In honor of NYFW, we're announcing our Artistic Curator soon...any guesses? 😉 ⬇

Did you know that we built the world’s first free digital marketplace to browse mental health services? Yup, and you can even browse by service type, how you’re feeling, and more. We are looking to share stories of our users to show the world that seeking mental health care is nothing to be ashamed of—that in fact, it’s something to own with pride! If you’ve used our Guide for Healthy Minds and want to share your story, we'd love to hear it: https://lnkd.in/ehts-anB ✨ And if you want to know what we’re even talking about, please visit https://lnkd.in/eaQhhEnn ✨

Last weekend I was invited to join a challenge to drive 20 million minutes of movement in 24 hours led by Peloton Interactive and Project Healthy Minds. I was lucky enough to bring my momma (who might as well be a Peloton instructor herself) to ride alongside me to support this incredible cause. Shoutout to the Peloton team for creating such a great experience. Because of them, we accomplished more than 28 million minutes of movement!! This stat really stuck with me... 50M adults in the US experience mental health issues daily 🤯 🤯 . Mental Health is one of the fastest growing issues we face in modern society. Really cool to see the true power of community and what people can accomplish when they work together towards a shared goal.
