Two weeks ago, S:US and Bronx Pro Group, LLC hosted a celebratory housewarming event for Melrose North, a #supportivehousing development in the Bronx that brings 171 #affordablehomes to the Morrisania community. This project marks a significant step in our mission to combat #homelessness and provide pathways to stability for New York’s most vulnerable residents. Today is #VeteransDay. We at S:US honor and support the brave men and women who have served our country. Our staff and the people we serve are participating in the NYC Veterans Day Parade, the largest commemoration of its kind in the nation. With nearly 20,000 marchers, this event acknowledges all veterans from World War I to today. We are proud to serve nearly 3,000 veterans and their families, working tirelessly to prevent #homelessness, provide rapid rehousing, and offer #behavioralhealth support. S:US is among NYC’s largest veterans’ services providers, committed to helping people at the highest risk of suicide and chronic homelessness.

Thank you to the amazing team of volunteers from Enterprise Community Partners! They rolled up their sleeves to pull out plants, dismantle old wood beds, and construct four brand-new garden beds. This sustainable and rejuvenated space has sparked excitement among residents and staff as they plan their upcoming gardening. The hard work has enlivened the residents’ home, creating a vibrant area for everyone to enjoy and connect.

S:US welcomes new graduates with intellectual/developmental #disabilities (#IDD) to join our Day Habilitation programs. We help young adults (ages 21+) to establish daily routines as they transition out of school towards a future of independent living. Through foundational career development experiences, pre-work readiness activities, social service, civic engagement, and volunteering, our programs provide the supports needed to build each person’s practical skills as they contribute and participate in their local communities.
