Central Market’s move into Uptown is on again. The company has been working on an Uptown Central Market for years with a store that would anchor a high-rise, mixed-used project at the site. Plans for the Uptown store have been on hold since 2023 when development efforts were shifted due to a softer post-COVID commercial real estate market.

Over 160 employers are expected to participate in a job fair later this month in Arlington that is aimed primarily at veterans who are actively looking for work. The 13th annual Hiring Red, White & You job fair will be held on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Globe Life Field, located at 734 Stadium Drive. According to the city’s website, the event is open to anyone looking for a job, but veterans will be given priority access.

As Collin County grows, a North Texas hospital system plans a $343 million expansion at its Plano hospital. Arlington-based Texas Health Resources announced earlier this week that it added a new parking garage and would build an eight-story tower at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano. Construction on the parking garage was finished this month, and work on the tower will begin soon.
