If you repeatedly create content that violates our Professional Community Policies, we may restrict access to your account. For certain egregious violations of our Professional Community Policies (e.g., child sexual abuse material, terrorism, extremely violent content, egregious sexual harassment), we may permanently restrict your account after a single violation.
If your account has been restricted due to one or more content violations, and you believe the content complies with our policies, you can login and follow the onscreen prompts to ask us to revisit our decision. Once you do so, we will review the content again and let you know the outcome.
We require the content on your profile to comply with our Professional Community Policies. This includes but is not limited to:
- Name
- Profile Photo
- Background Photo
- Experience or Education

Our Professional Community Policies require members to use their true identity on LinkedIn, provide accurate information about themselves or their organization, and only share information that is real and authentic. If we find that your profile or parts of your profile are intentionally fraudulent or do not reflect your true identity, we may place a restriction on your account. Depending on the type of violation, access to your account may be restricted either temporarily or indefinitely. Additionally, if we find signs that your account has been compromised or taken over by another person or entity, we may take proactive measures to restrict your account to protect your information.
