Goats in the barn 🐐, ingenuity in their veins 💡 From humble beginnings at their kitchen table, the Waechter family have nurtured Joy Lane Farm into a thriving business with an expanded product line that includes goat milk soaps, lotions, and candles. How do they keep growing? They keep trying new things with the tools available to them. 💻 When they faced challenges during the pandemic, they relaunched their website and began selling products online. 📈 In March 2023, they began running Shopping campaigns on Google Ads and saw a 180-percent increase in first-time buyers, with nearly 60 percent of engaged sessions coming from Google Shopping Ads. 🌱 Now, they’re learning how to use the AI capabilities of Google Analytics 4 “to evaluate and grow customer lifetime engagement.” What’s next? Ever had a dream shattered, only to find an even better one waiting around the corner? That’s exactly what happened to Kristian Cullins. For years, he had planned on becoming a state trooper, only to receive a crushing rejection letter. He didn’t have much time to dwell on his disappointment, however, as he had a family to support. He found himself working in a demanding job that required him to be outside of his home five days a week. It was far from the ideal situation for a father who longed to be more present for his kids. While looking for career inspiration and guidance, he discovered a YouTube creator called Alex the Analyst who mentioned the Google Data Analytics Certificate. Kristian promptly enrolled and finished the course faster than he expected. He soon found himself drawing on his certificate knowledge when he got an interview for a Healthcare Data Analyst position. “I had never touched a database before the certificate, and during my interview they asked about my experience working with R and creating databases,” he shares. He successfully landed a data analyst position with the company just two months after completing his certificate. Kristian’s newfound career not only provided financial stability but also introduced flexibility that aligned with his family responsibilities, allowing him to be present for his family in ways he couldn’t before. "My job is hybrid," Kristian shares. "I work two days a week in the office. I'm able to be home with my children—take them to school or be home when they are sick." Kristian is now considering taking an advanced Google Career Certificate course, and highly recommends the program to others: “I think it’s a life-changing thing for anybody. There are people out there who just need an opportunity or just a sign or something. This is your sign."
