Deploying and managing
Microsoft 365
Strong foundation fuels the full power of Microsoft 365
Defining a digital culture is a major priority for every leader who strives to foster a modern workplace. Microsoft 365 was designed to support this kind of cultural shift, helping leaders empower everyone at their companies to unleash creativity and collaboration. At Microsoft, establishing our foundational infrastructure has sparked precisely this kind of digital culture shift. Implementing Microsoft 365 Enterprise has allowed us to deploy collaboration technology, like Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online, and to share sensitive data online across secure SharePoint intranet sites.
At the same time, intelligent security features and product integration helps streamline management needs and minimize the total cost of ownership across the IT lifecycle. Learn how Microsoft Digital planned and deployed a foundation to support the applications and services that unlock creativity and foster teamwork in a secure environment.
Networking
Cloud-based solutions that interface with client devices rely on dependable, secure, and performant network connections. That’s why powerful networking was a crucial aspect of our strategy in creating Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Intune, key features of Microsoft 365 Enterprise Management + Security. Our networking infrastructure emphasizes performance and integration, allowing us to host these cloud-based services and make them readily and reliably available for our customers all over the world.
When Microsoft Digital deployed Microsoft Office 365 company-wide, optimizing uninterrupted network capacity and performance was a priority. We took time to create and implement strategic networking plans, using industry-leading performance and migration approaches and adopting cloud infrastructure services to move our complex global environment to Office 365 smoothly. Here we share some of our key considerations in creating an efficient connection to Microsoft 365 Enterprise’s cloud services.

Identity
With Microsoft 365 Enterprise, a well-planned and well-executed identity infrastructure paves the way for stronger security. Securing access for authenticated individuals is just as important as protecting an enterprise-wide digital estate. At Microsoft, we’re putting in controls to ensure the proper levels of accessibility for sensitive data, reducing the risk of unwanted disclosures, and better protecting our global corporate data, resources, and documents.
Deploying identity-based protection with Microsoft 365 Enterprise has allowed Microsoft Digital to manage privileged identities, implementing just-in-time access for privileged roles and helping mitigate the risks that elevated access can introduce. And with a fully managed identity lifecycle, only authenticated users and devices can access appropriate productivity workloads and sensitive data resources. Support
Training and ongoing support was critical to our success in deploying Office 365 across Microsoft’s global organization because the endeavor was so expansive. We designed a number of tools to help employees with early adoption and increase productivity starting from day one of the deployment. Our internal readiness program focused on comprehensive guidance so that employees had the freedom to learn on their own terms.
Offering a variety of training tool formats, from downloadable guides to how-to videos and step-by-step instructions, made it easy for employees to learn at the office, in the cloud, or on the go with their favorite mobile devices. We’ve made similar training tools available for you to use within your own enterprise to help enhance employee adoption and encourage productivity.
