Les Aiglons got their first glimpse of Beka Beka's magic one evening on the European stage, when his stellar strike sent the Club into the Conference League group stage. The date was 25 August 2022, and Le Gym defeated Maccabi Tel-Aviv 2-0. Alexis Beka Beka arrived in Nice with plenty of talent and personality. In his first season with the club, the France U21 international, who came up at Caen before turning out for Lokomotiv Moscow, made 22 appearances and set high expectations for what was to come.

For many months, Alexis rebuilt his career away from Nice, but never far from Le Gym, with whom he has always had strong ties. And with whom the ties will always be strong, even after the termination of his contract in the summer of 2024. 

"There are no words strong enough to express my gratitude to OGC Nice," he explained. "As everyone knows, I've been through some difficult times. The club has always been there, without ever rushing me. Today, I feel better. I'm moving forward, close to my family, and I think that if we're going to keep moving forward, we need to turn the page. I'm continuing to climb back up the slope, and I have my own challenges, both in my personal life and in my career. I wish Le Gym, its directors, my coaches, my team-mates and the fans all the best. I will never forget your support and love."

As Alexis departs the club, OGC Nice would once again like to send him all its affection. The Club's doors will always be open to him and he will always find open ears and people who care about him here.
