As of November 26th 2024, or until supplies last, the PlayStation Camera adaptor will no longer be available.
From 12 September, we will be removing the wallet setting known as 'Auto-Add Funds'. This setting previously automatically added funds to your wallet in order to pay for recurring subscriptions or pre-ordered content. We're removing this setting because wallet funds are no longer required for subscription payments and pre-orders, as we take funds directly from your payment method instead. We've been doing this for a while, and removing this setting toggle is part of keeping our settings simple and easy to use.
As of November 13, 2023, integration with X (formerly known as Twitter) will no longer function on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. This includes the ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4, and the ability to post and view content, trophies, and other gameplay-related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4 (or link an X account to do so). As of July 7th, 2023 the Spotify app is not supported or available on PS3 consoles. You are still able to access Spotify content on PS5 consoles and PS4 consoles, as well as any other supported devices for Spotify.
As of July 18th, 2023, PlayStation Video is not supported or available on Sony and 3rd-party Blu-Ray players and smart TVs manufactured between 2009 and 2018. You can continue to access your content on your PS5 console or PS4 console.
In fall of 2022, the Accolades feature on PlayStation 5 will no longer be supported. The feature hasn’t seen the level of usage we anticipated, so we are refocusing our efforts. We encourage the community to continue to send positive messages to one another.
Trend Micro has provided Kids Safety / Web Security Service to safely access the Internet with a browser on your PlayStation device, for PlayStation®3 in November 2007, for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) in April 2009, and PS Vita® in December 2011, and will stop providing the service as of May 31, 2023.
From May 11th, 2022 content cannot be transferred from PS3 consoles to PS Vita systems. Content can still be downloaded directly to PS3 consoles or PS Vita systems or it can be transferred using a PC.
Existing PlayStation Plus subscriptions will not be affected by these changes. You can access and download all of your existing PlayStation Plus content. Additionally, you will still be able to access your already purchased content from your respective devices.
To sign in to PlayStation Network on PS3 consoles or PS Vita systems, you now need a Device Setup Password.
Starting 27th October, 2021, you can no longer use a credit or debit card, or a payment method such as PayPal, to buy digital content or add funds to your wallet when visiting PlayStation™Store on your PS3™ console or PS Vita system.
To buy digital content for your PS3 console or PS Vita system, you must first add sufficient funds to your wallet on PlayStation Store. You can add funds by redeeming a PlayStation Store gift card, using a credit or debit card, PayPal, or other available payment methods via a desktop computer, mobile device, a PS4 console or a PS5 console.
How would this affect games that have an in-game store? Can I purchase DLC in an in-game store?
You will still be able to purchase content (including DLC) via in-game stores, but you will need to use wallet funds to pay for the content on PlayStation Store. You will not be able to use a credit or debit card, or other payment methods such as PayPal to complete the purchase.
Can I still use PlayStation Store gift cards on my PS3 console or PS Vita system?
Yes, PlayStation Store gift cards can be used on both PS3 consoles and PS Vita systems. Product vouchers and subscription vouchers can also be used.

What does this mean for you?
When the PlayStation®Store for PlayStation®Portable (PSP) was previously closed in 2016, you were still able to perform searches and make in-game purchases. Starting July 6th, 2021, you’ll no longer be able to perform searches or make in-game purchases.
What about PSP content that you already own?
You’ll still be able to download your previously purchased PSP content. You can download your previously purchased PSP content onto your PSP by accessing the Download List on the device.
What about PSP content that is available for purchase on the PS3 and PS Vita stores?
You’ll still be able to purchase and play PSP content that is available on the PS3 and PS Vita stores. However, you’ll no longer be able to make purchases via the in-game store for PSP content.
As of 28th June 2021, the web feature MyPlayStation will no longer be supported. You can continue to access your Game Library, Parties, Friends, Trophies, Profile information on your PS4 and PS5 consoles, or via mobile on PS App. The Profile and Game Library information will also be available via web on the profile menu dropdown
As of June 28th 2021*, users on PlayStation Vita will no longer be able to use the messaging service. Although messaging on PS Vita is going away, your messages will still be available to you by using the messaging service on PS5 consoles, PS4 consoles, and via mobile on PlayStation App.

Thank you for using the PS Communities feature on your PS4 console. Beginning in April 2021, this feature will no longer be supported or available on your PS4 console.
However, you'll still be able to stay connected and enjoy messaging features and more on your PS4 and the PlayStation App.
As of October 19th, 2020 :
Existing PlayStation Plus subscriptions will not be affected by these changes. You will continue to be able to access and download all of your existing PlayStation Plus content.
Additionally, you will still be able to access your already purchased content from your respective devices.
As of 14/10/2020 PlayStation Messages app for mobile devices has been integrated with the PS App and will no longer be available separately. Please download the PS App for Apple or Android devices to continue sending messages to your friends.
As of 14/10/2020 creation of Events is longer available. You will not be able to create new Events, receive user scheduled events notifications or access your scheduled Events.
You will no longer be able to create a community accessible per ‘Request Only’. All new communities will be available to all users. Set up a party to communicate with your friends.
The Play Together feature will no longer be available. You will not be able to start a Play Together session from Party screen. You can continue creating parties, and talking to your friends through the Party.
Sub account creation and account upgrade features are no longer available on PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PSP. You can continue to create and upgrade child accounts on PS4 and on the web.
Pluto TV is no longer be available on PlayStation 3.

Twitch is no longer available on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita.
As of June 30, 2020*, PlayStation 3 users will no longer be able to send or receive messages from other PlayStation platforms and services, namely PlayStation®4 (PS4), PlayStation® Messages App, My PlayStation® and PlayStation®Vita. Please note:

On 17 March 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment will terminate the PlayStation Communities app provided for iOS/Android devices.

Ustream features are no longer available on the PS4 system and Live from PlayStation:

Starting on October 7th, 2019 Facebook integration will no longer be supported on the PS4 system. This includes Facebook’s share features such as posting gameplay and trophy activity and using the friend finder feature. We apologise for any inconvenience.
As of January 2018 the Media Go application is no longer available to download. Users who have the application installed are still able to use it and access the support website, but the software is no longer supported and will not be available to re download should you delete it.
As of April 2017 the PlayStation™Video service (formerly known as Video Unlimited) is discontinued on selected Sony Bravia TVs and video & audio products released in 2013 and earlier.
