Recursive is a Solo Capitalist firm.

With a single decision maker we can move quickly, be more flexible, and remain extremely founder friendly. Instead of wasting time on VC firm politics, Itamar’s time is fully dedicated to helping your company succeed. We also know how to get out of the founders’ way when not needed.

We intentionally don’t lead investment to minimize potential conflict with founders, but we do co-lead Pre-Seed/Seed round. We prioritize the founders and companies needs first, with the belief that good founders will eventually find the right path forward.

We are expert in helping our companies get subsequent funding, supporting portfolio founders in their efforts to raise institutional Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds.

We are quick movers and make decisions in days, not weeks.
 
We typically start by analyzing the company’s Pitch Deck, continue to hold a series of meetings with founders, and then spend a few days doing Due diligence with our experts network. We will also backchannel with your colleagues and peers before making an investment decision.
Our goal is to make a decision as soon as possible and make sure that the process wastes as little of your time as possible.

Recursive investment start with investing in Pre-Seed and Seed rounds.

We would later further support our companies in subsequent round (Series A, Series B).

Recursive Ventures initial investment is typically in the $300k-$500k range. Over the lifetime of a company we can invest up to $1.5m

We can help with customer introductions and talent acquisition, but our core focus is helping you get funded. We help our founders close their pre-seed/seed investment round and later support them through their early stage fundraising journey with hands-on support, fundraising strategy, intros and backchannels. We work closely with most of the top VC firms locally (San Francisco Bay Area) and globally. 

Itamar has been on all sides of the table – an Institutional VC, A startup founder and executive, and a seed investor. Having raised over $400m and supported over 25 startups in graduating to a series A and beyond, I excel at helping companies get funded and building momentum in the market at the earliest stages of company formation.
