Founded in 2017 by Valnet Inc., TheGamer is a gaming site with a different spin on things. They wrote an extensive expose on workplace abuse at Techland, an oral history on Dragon Age: Origins, and they were the first to report that PlayStation was moving to shut the Vita store down. For all your news, views, and reviews, (and guides, but that doesn’t rhyme), you should bookmark TheGamer.

Hardcore Gamer traces its roots back to a magazine founded in 2005. At a time when magazines were shutting down, it did the opposite. Within months of being founded, hundreds of thousands of issues of Hardcore Gamer Magazine were distributed to subscribers internationally. In 2012, with the ever-expanding internet becoming the clear journalistic focus of the world, Hardcore Gamer was relaunched as an online publication and was acquired in 2023 by Valnet Inc.
Now one of the most frequented gaming journalism publications in the world, Hardcore Gamer has one of the largest active video game review libraries in addition to top video production and heralded long-form content.
