Steam's Indie Hit Core Keeper Will Get an Additional Biome

We've got to know Core Keeper's development roadmap. This hit indie game will soon receive a lot of new content, including an additional biome.

Pugstorm informed about subsequent plans to develop Core Keeper. First of all, public testing of dedicated servers has begun. They enable players to create their own servers, which (in contrast to the multiplayer mode available so far) do not require that the person who is the host to remain in the game all the time.

Update 1 for Core Keeper - highlights

Next month the game will receive its first major update, which will introduce quite a few new features.

  1. A new biome in the form of Sunken Sea, a sea full of islands.
  2. We will be able to construct boats, which can then be used to sail between the islands. Teleporters will also appear.
  3. There will be new weapons (including one legendary weapon) and other types of equipment.
  4. There will also be a new type of ore to mine.
  5. The patch will introduce new fish, plants and foods, as well as expand the list of items related to base building (e.g. sprinklers).
  6. There will also be four new types of enemies and one boss.

We will see all these new features and much more during the update's presentation, which will take place on June 12 at the PC Gaming Show.

Core Keeper debuted in Steam Early Access on March 8, this year. The game was released exclusively on PC. The developers plan to release version 1.0 at the end of this year, but warn that if necessary, the release will be postponed to 2023.

The game has been received very warmly. Sales exceeded 250 thousand copies within a week of release and 89% of user reviews on Steam are positive.
