Deathloop PC Got First Update; No Performance Improvements This Time
The first patch for Deathloop PC has been released, but the update only fixes minor bugs.
Deathloop has charmed reviewers the world over, but players aren't quite as enthusiastic - especially those planning to play on PC. It turned out that the title has many performance issues, so even users with good hardware can not fully enjoy the new position from Arkane Studios. On September 16, 2021 the developers released the first update for the PC version, which fixes a bug related to achievements. Unfortunately, we will still have to wait for a patch that improves performance.
Yesterday's update fixes a bug that caused players to not receive achievements despite performing the actions needed to earn them. Another change is the addition of better descriptions of certain errors that cause the game to shutdown. Developers also wrote that they are in the process of investigating reports from players about the frequent freezing. Those who experience this bug can help fix it and contact customer support on Bethesda's website by filling out a form with a description of the problems encountered. Arkane Studios has not announced any approximate release date for the new update - in a statement, the developers only said that they will announce the next steps in the unspecified future.
It seems that for now it's better to wait with the purchase of Deathloop on PC. A great pity, given that the game looks like a really interesting title. It remains to be hoped that the creators will quickly release a larger update and users of all platforms will be able to fully enjoy the game.
