Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition Not for PC

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will offer a handful of new features compared to the game's original release. Unfortunately, apparently, the PCs will only receive paid a DLC with a new hero, without ray tracing support and new modes.

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will skip PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The announcement of Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on next-gen consoles neither surprised nor upset fans of the series. On the contrary, the new mode and difficulty level, and the DLC with Vergil are almost all that the fans of the series hoped for. Unfortunately, the joy was spoiled by the information provided by user Pat Stares. The Streamer found out from Capcom's staff that the PC edition will only receive this expansion in the form of a paid add-on: Turbo and Dark Knight modes with ray tracing support will only appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. PS4 and XONE will also be bypassed.

The information has clearly cooled downcommunity's enthusiasm. The lack of ray tracing and Turbo mode on eighth generation consoles is obvious, but the lack of higher difficulty levels in editions for these platforms may come as a surprise. It is even harder to justify their lack on personal computers, which should have no problem with any of these add-ons. We note, however, that we have still not received an official announcement from Capcom on this issue. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will debut on November 10 on Xbox Series X and November 19 on PlayStation 5.
