2023 Indie RPG Hit Dredge Will Get Major Expansion [Update]
The Pale Reach, a paid DLC for the fishing game Dredge, has been announced. This time, we will go to ice-bound waters.

Developers from Black Salt have announced that Dredge has already found one million buyers. Thus, the game has exceeded their expectations many times over.
"We had hoped to sell maybe 100,000 copies in the first year. That would have been amazing. That was our estimate, but we beat it many times over," said producer Nadia Thorne.

New Zealand's Black Salt has announced the first paid expansion for Dredge, an exquisite fishing RPG with horror elements.
- The DLC is titled The Pale Reach.
- The release is scheduled for November 16.
- The expansion will offer a new side story, in which we will go to the ice-covered waters to uncover the secrets of a lost crew.
- The Pale Reach will provide about 1-3 hours of fun.
- The DLC will offer three new pieces of equipment and eleven new types of fish and crabs.
- Before fishing, players will have to create a new boat tool that will enable them to break through the ice.
- There will also be a mechanic for buying blocks of ice to extend the shelf life of the most valuable catches.
- The DLC will offer eight new achievements.
Dredge was released on March 30, this year. The game debuted simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, and the DLC will be available on the same platforms.
Dredge has met with a warm reception. On OpenCritic the game has an average rating of 82%. Even warmer was the reception by the players themselves - on Steam 95% of the game's reviews are positive.
