Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition was released today on PC. While most people report that the game runs quite smoothly, some fans have problems with performance. The game runs poorly with stutters and caps on 20 FPS for many. Luckily, there is an easy solution for this issue.

Let’s start with that many people have problems with performance in Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, so you are not alone. The source of the issue is also known, both to many players and creators. In developer’s post on Steam we can read that:

Performance issues when using a DualSense controller wirelessly

We are aware of reports of performance issues when using a DualSense controller wirelessly. While we work on a fix, as a workaround, you can plug the controller in. If you want to keep using the controller wirelessly, try enabling Steam Input.

As you can see, the source of the problem is DualSense controller. There are two quite easy solutions to that, you may either use a wire or enable Steam input in the app settings. Good luck.
