Krzyzacy Demo With Anime Warrior Chicks is a Unique Experience
Thanks to Steam Next Fest, you can check out the demo of Krzyzacy - The Knights of the Cross, a ridiculous battle card game in which we fight alongside scantily clad female warriors.
The Steam Next Fest, which began this past Monday, enables you to check out a wide variety of demos. In the category of quirky projects, however, few of these demos can compare with Krzyzacy - The Knights of the Cross. We have already written about the project last year, but now thanks to another edition of the Festival you can test it yourself.
- The project is based on a rather serious historical novel by polish writer Henryk Sienkiewicz, but the way it is implemented is quite funny.
- It is a battle card game in which our task is to help the Polish-Lithuanian forces defeat the Teutonic Knights (Krzyzacy in Polish).
- The key role in the gameplay here is to collect characters that influence the course of card battles.
- It is these characters that are the strangest and funniest element of the game. This is because they are characters straight out of anime, and most of them are scantily clad girls.
- The devs didn't bother with the correctness of historical setting. For example, one female warrior uses firearms, and another was a pirate before joining our team.
All this is ridiculous, but at the same time the demo is pretty cool. The game has a nice pixelart style with attractively designed characters and colorful locations. The card-based mechanics here are enhanced with turn-based RPG elements, so the battles are quite fun.
On top of that, the game has an extensive storyline. In the campaign we direct Zbyszko recruiting female warriors to fight the Teutonic Knights. Each character has its own story and additional tasks, and some of them will join our party only after completing special missions.
Krzyzacy - The Knights of the Cross are scheduled to debut next month.
