Skellige in The Witcher 3 With HD Reworked NextGen
The creator of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project mod has released an impressive video showing the model and texture improvements that the next edition of the mod will offer.
HD Reworked Project is one of the most important mods for The Witcher 3. It enjoys such high esteem that it has become an official part of the next-gen version of the game. A few weeks ago its author, a Pole by the handle Halk Hogan, revealed that he has plans for a new, even better release. Now the creator has published a video showing the progress of the work.
The video lasts almost seven minutes and focuses on demonstrating improvements to textures and models on Skellige. The new versions look excellent, presenting a significant leap in quality.
For the new release of the project, called HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition, we will still have to wait a bit longer, as its release is scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
The author promises a huge number of changes, including more than 3,000 improvements to the original textures and models. Such a large scale of the project most likely means that Halk Hogan has been working on it for a long time, and did not sit down to work on it only after the release of the December patch.
Interestingly and commendably , the new version of the mod will work with both the "next-gen" update of the game (4.0), as well as the old releases 1.31/1.32. This is important because the improved incarnation of Wild Hunt leaves a little to be desired in terms of optimization. Finally, it's worth mentioning that if you have performance issues on your PCs when playing with ray tracing enabled, you may find the following mod helpful Optimized Raytracing.
