Titan Quest 2 Gameplay Shows It Will Be a True Hack'n'Slash
As part of the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, we saw a gameplay trailer from the upcoming action RPG Titan Quest 2. The developers are still silent on the exact release date of the game.
The THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, announced in May, took place today. This year's edition of the event brought new trailers for several upcoming games, including the long-awaited successor to the famous action RPG, Titan Quest.
THQ Nordic presented the first material showing the actual gameplay of the second installment. While the video is short, it showcases the key elements of Titan Quest II, which have so far only been presented in writing (Grimlore Games studio has been regularly publishing articles about the world and the title's mechanics over the past few months). Below you will see a new game trailer.
- In Titan Quest 2, opponents will cooperate very well and it won't be enough to just "click" them to death. A ton of new information about the anticipated open-world action RPG
The material proves that the sequel will be a true hack'n'slash. While traversing the beautiful Greek terrain, we will face a multitude of various enemies, including the Ichthians known to fans of the original. At some point we see a fragment of our character's skill tree - we can freely combine and modify the abilities to create our perfect "build." At the very end of the trailer, a fight with one of the first bosses of the game, a majestic hippocampus, was presented.
Unfortunately, we didn't learn the most important information for Titan Quest fans during the presentation - the precise release date of the second part. The publisher hasn't yet disclosed an approximate release date for the game, which is only known to be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, considering that August has already begun, there is almost certainly no hope for a premiere this year.
It's worth adding that people who are going to gamescom 2024 will be able to play the demo version of Titan Quest II prepared by the developers. The trade fair will take place in Cologne, Germany from August 22-25.
