The 2019 Kansas City Royals season was the 51st season for the franchise, and their 47th at Kauffman Stadium. They had a 1-game improvement from the previous season, but they were eliminated from postseason contention on August 27. The season was Ned Yost's final season as manager as he announced on September 23 that he was retiring at the end of the season. [1]
