Hunley, the man ?
[edit]Theres a good deal in this article about his submarine work (perfectly understandable, since thats his chief link to fame) but does anyone have anything more about the man? His education, legislative achievements, etc.? Engr105th (talk) 02:58, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- In the same vein, I deleted this
- "After the loss of the second crew, the submarine was again recovered and with a third crew went to be the first submarine in the history of naval warfare to attack and sink an enemy ship (USS Housatonic). Hunley sank shortly after the successful attack and was lost for more than 130 years until finally recovered in 2001. The remains of the last crew were buried with full military honors by Confederate reenactors in April 2004."
- as irrelevant to Hunley himself. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 04:51, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
