Tagging CLSA for deletion

Hello, Gnome84 ... I recently encountered the article about CLSA while performing either New Page Patrol, Recent changes patrol, or Counter-Vandalism Unit activities, and in my opinion as a Wikipedia editor, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it reads like blatant Vanispmcruftisment.

The point is that I plan to tag CLSA (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) with either a {{prod}} that explains my reasons why I believe that it should be deleted, or else a {{db-inc}} tag for speedy deletion (CSD A7).

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article or a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page ... please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. —72.75.70.147 (talk · contribs) 11:18, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notifying authors of AfD nominations

[edit]

In case you were not aware, it is considered proper courtesy to notify authors when their articles are nominated for deletion ... you should leave messages for User:Wilfred Pau that you have taken Yonden Lhatoo and Edna Tse to AFD, just as I did last week before I put a (declined) CSD#A7 on the latter.

Thanks for that - I'm still new at the protocol.

On a side note, as the author of CLSA, I'm surprised you haven't voiced any arguments or opinions at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 June 23#CLSA (which is still open, BTW), or are you too busy making a point to be bothered? —72.75.85.234 17:29, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'll weigh in there, as well.

Hey --- thanks for your contributions on AfD. I just wanted to check if you still want to nominate The Middle East (nightclub) for deletion? (The sources cited there consist only of trivial mentions and one directory entry, but there seems to be more extensive coverage elsewhere as well [1]) The discussion page was never created, then the AfD tag was removed by an anon (diff: [2]). Thanks for the note. I would delete it - for two reasons:
A. I lived in that area of Cambridge, Massachusetts for many years in the '80s and '90s but never heard of the place.
B. If you do a search for "Middle East" in Wikipedia, the article has a redirect to this ridiculous nightclub at the top of the entry.
I'm not good with AfD protocol, so would appreciate your action or advice or this.
