Mislabeling of images

[edit]

I think you are mislabeling your uploaded images. Please refrain from doing this, as it infringes on the rights of others and give Wikipedia a bad name. I labeled some images {{copyvio}}, and an administrator will look at them shortly. If I'm wrong, please accept apologies. Harald Hansen 09:55, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate Image:12.gif

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:12.gif, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:12.gif is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:12.gif, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Your comments are invited on a proposal at WP:MILAIR

[edit]

As an editor who has been active in working on air force-related articles, I’d appreciate your input on a a proposed generic structure for "XYZ Air Force" articles. I’d like to get broader inputs and would appreciate your suggestions on improving the proposal. Thanks, Askari Mark (Talk) 20:10, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IF YOU COULD HELP ME IN ANY WAY

[edit]

Hi! First I would really thank wikipedia and, foremost, the people that make it going -- people like you. I come from a village in Herzegovina, and throughout this century it has vittnesed many atrosities. So I desided to make a page about it, on wikipedia. Among the thing that I wrote is the genocide aginst the Serbs in 1941, in Prebilovci. And on the title I used genocide -- a user named rijeka, from croatia, has just removed that bit.

600 women and children from my village, were in 1941 slaughtered and thrown into pits near surmanci, the place were virgin mary is said to have apeared. I wrote abut this -- and rijeca removed that bit. Maby he just doesn't want people knowing about it -- that virgin maty alledgedy apears to some Croats were they cilled Serbs during the genocide.

I've also created a page called Prebilovci Massacre, and because of that, he claims, has removed a great bit of my article on Prebilovci. Among that article, he has removed of what happended in 1991; the bodies of thoose who were massacred in 1941 were blown up by a bomb placed there by Croats.

I just think this is unfair. I see it this way: that's he's missusing his power on wikipedia. Chek it put yourself, then contact me and say what do you think.

Yours Very Thruly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WebsterMasters (talkcontribs) 15:10, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please uplead this image to Wikimedia Commons? Or would you be consent, if I upload this image to Wiki Commons? If yes, which licence tag should be used? -- 84.145.233.87 22:56, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Yugoslav Army order of battle, March 1999, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unspecified source for Image:V_g2_prototip.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:V_g2_prototip.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Military of Kyrgyzstan

[edit]

Hi Kos. I was the editor that added most of the land forces data to the Kyrgyzstan page. Would you mind adding your sources for the aircraft numbers? Makes it easier for later as the article climbs in quality - no need to search back for refs. Also, was sorry to see the Yugoslav Army order of batlte was deleted - be quite happy to try and get that re-added should you want help with it. Weapons Page

[edit]

hey, I think it's a really bad move to divide the weapons page. First of all, I liked the galleries below each section. Second of all, I think we should concentrate on improving the page and dividing the page just takes up too much of our time. Let me know you think Mike Babic (talk) 16:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok,, lets have 2 pages yet keep the same format (segmented into infant weapons, armored cehiavles, etc and the galleries underneath those segments - not at the end). Also, keep the tables.Mike Babic (talk) 17:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Leteće zevzde na morem.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Leteće zevzde na morem.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 571st Anti-Submarine Aviation Squadron, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 570th Anti-Submarine Aviation Squadron. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 11:48, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:Roundel of the Royal Yugoslav Air Force-1929.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Diesel multiple units of Serbia indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:25, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
