Speedy deletion of AOL Desktop

A tag has been placed on AOL Desktop, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Julesn84 (talk) 16:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ileap.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ileap.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Alwaysbemybaby.ogg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Alwaysbemybaby.ogg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:03, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

The article Sona Nair has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Vipinhari || talk 06:50, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

The article Bhavna Pani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

BLP possibly fails notability at WP:ENT - one link is to a social networking site, the other is to a blog.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung (talk) 06:51, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Mariah Carey, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. License tagging for File:WULA.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:WULA.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Discussion

Hey :). Please join the discussion here.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 08:01, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey :) One Sweet Day

Hey there :D. So yep, I'm not sure if you have noticed but I have been improving all things Mariah Carey here on wikipedia. That music sheet would be really good for a "Composition" section, but I'm afraid I don't know how to incorporate that info into the article; I don't read music :S. I will ask another editor to help me :). Thanks for the link! Well I'm hoping that book will give me some more info. I only have 2 Mimi books, one is more Biography and the other is more Music, but they only go up to Butterfly and Rainbow so I'll have to see about later works. Also, there isn't much info on the songs, only albums, so if you know of any other links or helpful stuff let me know :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 10:43, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey, so thanks for those. we can't use the songfacts thing, because its not reliable, but the others yes. Hmmm, well I don't own these books, I got em from my local library. From things I've seen I would suggest this book and this maybe this book and this one. From the books I've seen on Mariah, these books looks kind of similar and should help ALLOT! if your looking to improve Whitney's pages. G to the library and bring the ISBNs written on the pages Ive linked you too. Let know if you need help :). Good luck!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 11:47, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Yup no problem. If your looking to do her albums, take a look at these last 5 Mariah albums I did (I started from scratch) Music Box, Merry Christmas, Daydream, Butterfly and Number 1's. Those should help you construct and format any album pages you do. I modeled mine after other albums as well, I even still do, using my old ones lol. If you need help with a section or anything let me know :).--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 12:02, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Hazeleyeskelly.ogg

Hey so I'm not sure why those 2 are like that. It looks weird compared to the real way. Maybe there was some change that I'm unaware of. As for the CD, I'm not sure. I would think so, but I'm not sure how to source that. As for your two articles. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a problem reviewing them, only that there is no way I could pass those in their current state. So there isn't a point. I say keep them up there and try to get more sources! Those books are your only option, without mine I would have done anything.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 06:33, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

As per the discography, I really don't know now, I'm confused. It appears there is a change coming along. I say leave it until we know for sure. About the CD, I really wouldn't know how to source it or what to do with it.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 06:50, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi. The lead isn't bad, but it definitely needs to ve fixed up a bit. There are allot of small writing issues. As for the CD, I really don't know if we can use that, I never have.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 16:03, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
I will look into it.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 16:18, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Peer review

I'm pretty much finished with the review, but I think I'll do a few fixes to the article. CrowzRSA 16:01, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi there. this edit confuses me. I see in the discography that Stripped is the fourth studio album, following Christina Aguilera, Mi Reflejo and My Kind of Christmas. I'm not a regular in these areas so I am probably missing something obvious here. --Muhandes (talk) 09:42, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Here's a source (Daily Mirror UK) link. Novice7 (Talk) 11:02, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Though there are a lot of editorial comments [those in brackets] I'll it as a source as well. --Muhandes (talk) 14:17, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi...Honey

Hi there Novice :) So allot of those images get from friends off facebook that have actually been to these shows that personally took them :D As for the Screenshots, I just look on Google or Bing :) Hmmm, I'm actually not sure if I got the right notes in that section lol, I don't read music. Thank you though :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 07:57, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Lead section

Re [1]. Basically if the information is already referenced in the list itself then you don't need to reference it again per WP:LEADCITE. However anything in the lead not explicitly referenced does need references. Furthermore, claims such as a single or album being the most succesful or that type of thing should be referenced explicitly - relying on references of chart positions wouldn't suffice as there may be multiple ways to measure success. Sales, external tour revenue etc. Hope that helps a bit and if you have any further questions I'll do my best to help. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 17:24, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey there

Hey, so I'm not sure. We would have to have a consensus on the talk page to make that kind of change. Unfortunately, since its not a popular page, we need to invite others to give their opinion. Why don't you state your case on the talk page and then I could invite the usual 10-15 that normally take place in these discussions. I can do that for you once you post it on the talk page :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:31, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

I'll do it for ya don't worry. It isn't too long and shouldn't take long :) Yeah, they don't think so lol. My suggestion is to do loads of clean-up and fixing and re-formatting, and then maybe when yur done and it looks good, then you have a better shot!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 19:11, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Firstly, I'm sorry that I'm not good at Wikipedia skill and English. Also sorry for my no answer for your talks. Thanks for your praise on my works for Whitney Houston articles. Thank you, thank you and thank you. Like you said, I'm a big fan of Whitney Houston. MMMM...it's hard to decide for me if the split of discography is good or not. I thought the split would be need in the past but now, I don't know whether it's what's really needed. However, I think it's not right to argue only for people without any contributions for Whitney Houston article. Thanks again. Crowded 01:54, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Before trying to get it split, you guys should develop and clean-up the discography and make it perfect. Then if it happens to be long and cluttered, we can once again consider splitting.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Hey again. So the article really needs allot of work. I mean, the singles section shouldn't be formatted that way and there should be a photo. Plus allot of lead is poorly written and phrased and needs combing out. Lots of work my friend, I suggest you take a look at MC's discographies for an guidance with the formatting. Let me know if you've got any questions :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 20:34, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Hilary Duff singles

I was wondering if you'd like to collaborate with fixing Hilary's singles articles, adding notability, etc. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 21:31, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Of course, I'd love to. I hope we can do albums too. About Peer Review, just point out what you feel is wrong or does not belong in a section. Thanks. Novice7 Talk 11:07, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that'd be great too. I posted on the peer review, and did the changes. (I don't know if I'm allowed to, but whatever haha!) Also may I suggest adding the UK cover for So Yesterday, since as you probably know, there are like a million covers for it. Currently trying to find a proper good quality one for Come Clean and Why Not. It's quite hard. :P ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 21:49, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
I'll try my best to find some information. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 05:23, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I can't find like anything about the video. I reworded it a bit though, and added the premiere date. Do you know if using an archives.org is credible to use? I'm sure there would be some information on her website then. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 05:39, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
xD That comes in handy eh? Btw I'm checking sources with the song release dates, and so far both So Yesterday and Little Voice's dates have been wrong. Loads of work to do. :L Just kinda sizing up things needed to be done. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 05:53, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I have no idea. Just really correcting things right now. xD That one can't really be expanded much. Our Lips Are Sealed date wrong as well. Damn. :L Have you found anything about it? ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 05:59, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
No. xD I'm talking about the release date of the song. That's what I'm checking on right now. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:04, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
It's alright. I've been checking with Allmusic and Amazon. That Fly date doesn't sound right to me. Being released 4/5 months after the album's release? Checked iTunes, and October 19th was correct: http://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/fly-single/id29269363 ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:12, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
By the way, I also think we should re-create pages for songs such as "Supergirl" and "Weird," as they did some type of release. AT LEAST "Supergirl" as it is mentioned on Allmusic. http://www.allmusic.com/album/supergirl-r1477862 ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:14, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
There's so much to do. Her articles are such messes! I think we should get all the singles sorted out first though. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:18, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Trying like crazy to find a HQ Why Not cover but no luck AT ALL. Same with Come Clean. Sigh. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:23, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
http://www.hilaryd.org/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/934 The best I can find. Sigh. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:29, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Not really. I'll have a look around though. I did get a good one for Come Clean. I put on the one that is most used in different countries. Gonna start expanding it now a bit. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:38, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I'm done fixing it up a bit. :P ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 06:50, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Started making an article for "Supergirl" on my sandbox. Feel free to edit it. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 07:08, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Hilary Duff articles

Damn. Well you tried. xD I'll just copy the credits from the booklet, and maybe there's a review of the album mentioning the song we could use. I'll be sure to check it out. :P ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 07:31, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Damn, again. I guess that's as good as it's gonna get for now. I think It'd be a good idea to add the promo singles to her discography page, since for some reason they aren't listed there. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 07:46, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
LMAO. That was too funny that we both went to do it at like the same time. :') ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 15:00, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Do you know how to upload snippets to the songs? It'd be great to add one to Come Clean, like in So Yesterday. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 15:33, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Just to let everything know really. Or is there a one directing to the peer review about it? I think that'd be best so people know it's currently being reconstructed. Thanks for the clip. I'll add it now! ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:06, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Do you think you could find some information to expand the intro on Come Clean? I've been looking, but I'm not really sure at all what I'm looking for. xD ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:11, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm gonna try to find out when it was sent to radio. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:14, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Added some of the info about the remixes, and some things could be used in the background possibly. I'll look for some reviews of the songs. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:17, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I'd say that would be the best start. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:43, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Well I think it would good to mention So Yesterday's release a bit, and maybe we can find something around the time of Come Clean's release about the single choice. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 16:49, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
That'd be fine. But the background right now, isn't it kind of just the same as So Yesterday's? Doesn't really give a feel of Come Clean's release. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (talk · contribs) 18:00, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. I guess that'd work. Well first I've been trying to get the title changed to the proper title, so not really. :P ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 17:28, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

So Yesterday

hello,

  • Release and reception: gave a neagtive review on the song's title writing, should be negative
  • Chart performance: The song peaked at number two ar what is ar?

That is all I have found. Cheers.-- ♫Greatorangepumpkin♫ T 14:42, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

I recommend you to split the second and last paragraph off (like crow said) into composition. Cheers.-- ♫Greatorangepumpkin♫ T 14:51, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Not much, I just went on ahead and made a few fixes myself. A little bit of what was split off have stayed in the background, and I moved the audio sample to a better position. No problem. Good work! Candyo32 15:10, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I checked the lead before and moved the stray sentence about the music video into the second paragraph. Okay, if it were me, I would just add the compilation info and the Band Hero information into the Background. Candyo32 15:26, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Hilary Duff articles (2)

Haha thanks, but I actually lost the rollback one because of some stupid edit warning where I misused. But whatever, I don't really need it that much. :P Yay. By the way, great finding the HQ cover for "Fly". You don't know how long I searched!! ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 03:15, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Haha did you purchase it or something? YAY at getting the HQ for that too, and the rest of the changes. I'll continue to help out with them tomorrow. ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 03:17, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh right, haha. I was wondering how the hell you would have got it if not on iTunes. xD Yes, anyone can. I actually didn't request reviewer, I was just given it along with rollback. What blog did you get it off of? Does it have other covers for singles/albums? Might come in use. :P ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 03:20, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Could you do the same for Come Clean? ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 03:33, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
How do you feel about me using the international cover for Beat of My Heart? The international one for Wake Up is used, so I think the same should apply here. ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 03:47, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
No way! That one's great. The other one is all stretched and such as well. This is perfect. Thank you! ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 14:20, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Yay!! Haha you'd think so, right? :L I'm not very good at guitar at ALL. I actually kind of fail at it. I've been trying to teach myself though. xD I'm home sick today by the way, so I'll be here. ;) ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 14:52, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
