NY1, also known as Spectrum News NY1 or New York One, is a television news channel based in New York City.
History[]
Battle of New York Aftermath[]

In 2012, NY1 approached a man who was playing chess with a friend and interviewed him about the Avengers saving New York City. The man answered, "Superheroes in New York? Give me a break."
Pat Kiernan also discussed the Battle of New York, and how the Avengers had disappeared not long after they had first appeared.[2]
Later, NY1 reported on the Department of Damage Control. The organization had been purchased by Tony Stark and the federal government in a joint venture.[3]
A few months later, Kiernan reported that American airwaves had been hijacked by a terrorist calling himself "The Mandarin."[4]

Daredevil and Hell's Kitchen Events[]
In 2015, Pat Kiernan reported on the event in which Officer Sullivan of the New York City Police Department was held prisoner by the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.[5]
Kiernan and Annika Pergament reported on the arrests of various New York City Police Department officers, Parish Landman, and Senator Randolph Cherryh. Kiernan also informed the media that a firefight had begun involving the FBI transport vehicle carrying Wilson Fisk. He spoke with Janet to confirm the firefight.[6]
Several months later, Kiernan discussed the capture of the Punisher.[7]
Friendly Neighborhood[]

In 2016, following the Robbery of the Queens Community Bank that was thwarted by Spider-Man, NY1 captured footage of and reported on the aftermath of the incident, particularly the destruction of Delmar's Deli-Grocery, during the news.[3]
Punisher Returns[]

A few months later, Kiernan and Roma Torre reported about a series of terrorist attacks in New York City and the return of the Punisher.[8]
Traffic Accident[]
In 2017, NY1 reported on a traffic accident and how a family was saved by a escaped convict.[9]
Blip[]
In 2023, NY1 reported on the Blip and how it reunited families and friends together after being five years apart. Three weeks after, NY1 was still reporting on it.[10]
Reporting on Spider-Man[]
- "We come to you now with revelations about last week's attack in London. An anonymous source provided this video, it shows Quentin Beck, aka, Mysterio, moments before his death. A warning: You may find this video disturbing."

In 2024, Pat Kiernan reported about a clash between Spider-Man and Mysterio in London and aired edited footage that Mysterio had sent to The Daily Bugle host, J. Jonah Jameson. In the broadcasted story, Mysterio framed Spider-Man for the attacks and his death, before exposing his identity as Parker to the world.[11] Kiernan reported that the Department of Damage Control would be investigating what happened and that Stark Industries had been caught in the controversy due to making the drones.[12]
Ronin's Return[]
In late 2024, Pat Kiernan reported about an attack at a local auction and showed footage of someone in Ronin's suit rescuing Lucky in the streets from ongoing traffic.[13] The next day, Kiernan reported that the NYPD were investigating Armand Duquesne IIIâs death.[14]
NYC Mayoral Election[]

- WHiH World News was going to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as shown in the second trailer for the film. However, the fictional news channel was replaced by NY1 in the final film.
