Standard Issue[]
- "It's these two Grace Jones-looking chicks. They're holding spears."
- âZuri to N'Jobu[src]
Wakandan Spears were the traditional weapon of the Dora Milaje. As such, the Dora Milaje general Okoye was rarely seen without her Vibranium Spear, which she used to give commands to her subordinates by hitting the spear on the ground.
When T'Chaka traveled to Oakland to confront Prince N'Jobu, his Dora Milaje escorts used their spears to cut the power to the Prince's building so T'Chaka could enter N'Jobu's apartment unseen.
While T'Challa and Okoye prepared to rescue Nakia, Okoye took her spear, but was told by T'Challa that he would not need her for the mission. Nevertheless, Okoye later joined the fight and used her spear to kill an opponent who threatened T'Challa and Nakia.
The Dora Milaje wielded their Vibranium Spears during the Incoronation of T'Challa, hitting the floor of their boat to activate the drainage systems of the Warrior Falls. When M'Baku arrived and challenged T'Challa for the throne of Wakanda, some members of the Dora Milaje went into the arena and pointed their spears towards the fighters, much like the Jabari did with their knobkerries, to form a semi-circular boundary.[1]
Arrest of Ulysses Klaue[]
- "Put that spear in the trunk."
- âEverett Ross to Okoye[src]
Okoye took her Vibranium Spear for a mission in Busan to apprehend the criminal Ulysses Klaue. Okoye, T'Challa and Nakia went to the Jagalchi Market Casino and waited for Klaue, but Okoye was ultimately spotted by Klaue's bodyguards. This forced Okoye to unsheathe her collapsible spear, which enabled her to take down many of Klaue's bodyguards, despite Klaue himself managing to flee.
Okoye and Nakia chased Klaue and his several SUVs with a Vibranium car. In order to take down one of the SUVs, Okoye climbed onto the car's roof, maintaining her balance thanks to the spear she plunged into the roof. She then threw another spear ahead of the SUV they were chasing. Due to the extreme solidity of the weapon, their opponents' car crashed onto the spear, destroying it.
Okoye and Nakia kept identified Klaue's car and chased him, but Klaue destroyed their car with his energy cannon. Thrown into the air, Okoye managed to grab her Vibranium Spear and used it to safely land and slow down on the road. Immediately after, Everett Ross arrived and took them both in his own car, although he asked Okoye to put her spear in the trunk.[1]
Battle of Mount Bashenga[]
Upon discovering that T'Challa had survived his duel against Erik Killmonger, the Dora Milaje turned against their new King and fought against him and his forces with their Vibranium Spears. Okoye and three other members of the Dora Milaje attacked Killmonger, who managed to kill one of them. The remaining Dora used their spears to force Killmonger to kneel and attempted to take the necklace providing him with his Panther Habit, but they failed and were projected on the battlefield.
The Dora Milaje wielded their Vibranium Spears against the Border Tribe until Okoye confronted her husband W'Kabi. As W'Kabi asked whether Okoye would kill him, Okoye pointed her spear at him and replied that she would not hesitate to do so for the fate of Wakanda.[1]
Battle of Wakanda[]
In 2018, Okoye and the Dora Milaje once again wielded their Vibranium Spears in battle when the Black Order and their Outriders attempted to invade Wakanda. The Dora Milaje managed to slay many Outriders with their spears. Okoye later threw her spear at Thanos, but he deflected it using his Infinity Gauntlet.[2]
Battle of Earth[]
In 2023, Okoye and the Dora Milaje used their Vibranium Spears in the battle against an alternate Thanos' alien army. Okoye stabbed Corvus Glaive with her spear, killing him.[3]

Black Market Auction[]
Purchased by Todd Phelps[]
- "I was at an auction recently buying art and then, get this, they had an authentic Wakandan war spear. So, I, of course, win the auction. A millie. A million. Dollars."
- âTodd Phelps to She-Hulk[src]
In 2025, a Vibranium Spear from Wakanda was sold at a black market auction. Todd Phelps bought it for one million dollars, outbidding Eugene Patilio Jr. for it. He took a picture of himself with it. He was then approached by representatives from Wakanda, who told him that the spear was stolen by colonizers of Africa and asked for it back. Phelps tried to get Jennifer Walters to represent him legally so that he could keep it, but she refused.[4]

Design and Capabilities[]
The Vibranium Spears look like classical spears with blades appearing to be more slender than the Sonic Spears. Being made of vibranium, the spears are incredibly solid and resistant. As such, they are able to withstand the impact of a large SUV at full speed without sustaining any damage. Their vibranium composition enables the spears to pierce through other solid materials, from road asphalt to other vibranium objects.
The Vibranium Spears are collapsible weapons, enabling its users to easily conceal it when forced to hide their weapons, as well as untraceable by metal detectors. Moreover, the spears are more than simple cold steel weapons: their blunt end is capable of delivering electric discharges in combat and utilizes sonic technology to interact with other electronic components. Moreover, when several spears get close enough, they can lock together to form an energy barrier around a target which was powerful enough to briefly incapacitate Erik Killmonger when enhanced by the Heart-Shaped Herb.
