Doctor Wu (ćŽ) is a specialist in both Chinese and Western medicine in cardiology, as well as a scientist with an in-depth knowledge of ancient Chinese culture.

Meeting Tony Stark[]
New Years Eve Party[]
On New Year's Eve in 1999, Ho Yinsen introduced Tony Stark to Doctor Wu at the Bern 2000 in Switzerland and they shook hands. Stark joked that Maya Hansen would need Wu's expertise in cardiology after their night together, to which Wu was unamused.[1] Wu briefly discussed the Y2K panic before Stark invited Wu to the party, which he declined.[2]
Warning Stark[]
13 years later, shortly after Stark publicly threatened the Mandarin, Wu called his house only to be received by J.A.R.V.I.S., who addressed him in his native Mandarin Chinese. Wu attempted to make J.A.R.V.I.S. understand that Stark would have the backing of his country.[2]
Saving Stark[]
Later, Wu was called on to perform the surgery that would rid Stark of the shrapnel in his chest and free him from relying on the Arc Reactor to keep himself alive.[1]
Abilities[]
- Master Physician: Wu met Tony Stark at Bern 2000 and approached him about his knowledge in Chinese and Western medicine; however, Stark ignored him with a witty joke. Stark later remembered Wu and asked him to perform the surgery that rid Stark of the shrapnel in his chest and free him from relying on the Arc Reactor.

- Despite being an original character created solely for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Wu was later introduced to the mainstream comic universe in the comic Amazing Spider-Man Vol 4, as the head of Peter Parker's Parker Industries bio-tech division.
- According to MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige came up of the idea of the character after the Steely Dan song of the same name.
