Agnes Jones, better known as Aunt Jones, is a supporting character in Popeye comics. She is the sister of the sailor hero's mother, and first appeared in the comic strip Thimble Theatre in 1941, then written by Tom Sims and drawn by Bela Zaboly. Aunt Jones continued to appear within strips completed by the pair until their departures in 1959, after which she was unceremoniously dropped from the strip. However, she would eventually resurface in the online comic strip Popeye's Cartoon Club in 2020. Aunt Jones' husband is none other than Davy Jones, the spirit of the sea.
