An actual PR project for the brand that consumed more time than regular anime production. The adaptation is slow-paced on the land, and fast-paced on the sea. One thing that should be noted is the fact that they (the committee) choose to not historically accurate.
The animation is very ENGI-ish if you happened to watch their past works. But because this original adaptation have so much time in the kitchen, quality of the animation is better than those. A lot of ships appeared more than the first anime adaptation (which is not canon with) and the film (also not canon). I reccomend you to watch the first CGDCT anime of this brand then continue to the film.
