This is an interesting one with unique characters, I expected it's focus to be about war and conquest, but it was the furthest thing from it.
This is a series where the hero comes from a different world, but that has minor bearing on the story itself, although they tried to tie it together, you never really felt like his previous life had a major impact on who he had become. There are some battle sequences but the enemies largely feel to be CGI. This story mostly deals with the connections between people in a fantasy world.
I did enjoy it had a feeling of nation building to it. Doesn't bring much new to the table besides for extremely perfect likeable characters. Even the ones you think might be bad, which I find kind of unique (and maybe more realistic).
