044 becomes the strongest female soldier, excelling in combat through gene manipulation using a virus. However, in exchange for her abilities, her days become numbered. The next government mission is to destroy a bloodthirsty squad, Phage, and its leader King. In her battle, she encounters a Phage soldier, Luka, and finds herself unable to kill him. She wonders why, but as a result, Daxus Jr., the leader of the government group, regards her as a traitor. She is targeted by both Phage and the government, and runs away with the injured Luka.

Mirroring another recommendation, this is only for fans. If you have a burning desire to see what wasnt in the movie or anything that might have developed in and around it, this is for you, otherwise, this is going to be time you've lost and cant remember why you spent it on this.

Only for fans with time to waste. The Movie from 2006 was lacking a good story and better editing, but at it's core the colorful style and somewhat fresh take on action sequences made it worth your while. Code 044 missed the chance improve on this issues substantially. Instead Code 044 suffers from a weak presentation overall and low quality action scenes. For die hard fans only! What a bummer ;_;
