Real name is Kikuchi Michitaka [通隆菊池], which he uses when doing character design or animation work. Best know for the 12 volume manga Silent Mobius, which has been adapted as two anime films, and later a separate series. Also made a parallel manga version of Martian Successor Nadesico [機動戦艦ナデシコ] called Meteor Schlachtschiff Nadesico [遊撃宇宙戦艦ナデシコ]. Already a fan of western pop culture, moved to America and got employed by Marvel on the X-Men comic, but also continues his own work.
