More of the same, although it looks better since it's a film.
If you watched and liked garo you should probably watch this one too.

+ character development, especially for the main character
+ unique character designs
+interesting overall setting - this style of narrative set in dark medieval fantasy isn't something I've seen before, but maybe that's just because I haven't seen enough isekai I don't know.
-At times super edgy and violent and at others, melodramatic with piano tracks.
It's hard to care about anime melodrama if I just saw a guy getting brutally murdered before. I'm not a fan of the latter anyway and the two definitely don't blend well.
-gets pretty tropey, especially in terms of dialogue.

Well animated, really good voice acting and plenty of cute girls even though it's so short.
More enjoyable than most OVAs.

Really good. With this many characters there's bound to be at least one or two that you'll end up liking.
Highly recommended.

Watched it for a few of the characters but didn't really like the most of them and the drama felt like a waste of time at best and became outright funny at it's worst.
It seemed like it was gonna turn out interesting by the end, but ultimately that was a let-down as well.
Although some of the girls were cute, therefore it gets a "for fans" rec from me. For fans of cute girls.

If you like muscle girls. I mean that probably accounts for a large fraction of the viewership, myself included and I think liking one character is a perfectly genuine reason to seek out a show. Genie is really cute and I watched it for her.
Other than her I really didn't like this show, it's full of bad, lazy tropes and the humor wasn't to my taste either.
