Could you please explain what the ⚤ symbol is supposed to mean as a sort key in categories (e.g. for female handball players)? After reading [[:wiktionary:⚤|Wiktionary]] in particular, I don't get it. ::There are no standardized rules as to how exactly a sorting should look according to such categories, the main requirement is that the sorting key is sufficiently clear. It is not a big problem that there are no uniform rules, especially for categories that contain a maximum of two to three subcategories. Very often, the only thing to be found in such sortings is only a space oder space followed by the gender. If several subcategories contain the same sort key, the category name determines the order. However, the use of a symbol that is not an ASCII code is always difficult.

== Cat:Stadspoorten in de Nederlandse  kunst ==

Hoi Antoine. Ik wil graag overleggen over deze topcat en de naam van onderliggende categorieën. De subcategorien zouden volgens mij een net iets andere naamstructuur moeten krijgen. Dat is de reden om niet intensief aan dit project te werken nu het aantal doortevoeren naamswijzigingen nog klein is. Volgens mij is het beter voor provincies en plaatsen de categorie naam als volgt te formuleren: ''Gates in South-Holland in art.'' (Ik maakte net ieen pagina aan voor Gevangenpoort, Den Haag). Mijn reden voor deze twijfels is : Als een kunstenaar uit noem maar iets Amsterdam een boek maakt ovrer poorten in groningen gedrukt door een ander in Utrecht en uitgegeven door een ander in Leiden ... is het dan art of provincie A B of C of D? Makkelijker en formeel correter lijkt me dus de locatie van de poort te benadrukken, die staat gewoon op zekere grond. Ben je het ermee eens de structuur van de subcats zo te wijzigen dat het gaat om '''City gates in South Holland in art.'''(mogelijk eventueel ook gezegd als  '''City gates of South Holland in art''')? Daarna wordt het een hele mooie categorie volgens mij en best nog een groot werk voor alle poorten in Nederland. De naam "City gates in art of the Nederlands" wilde ik verder niet wijzigen, dat lijkt me Ruim genoeg om beide te omvatten: Stadspoorten in Nederland en Nederlandse kunst. Als je akkoord gaat met naam suggestie 1 of 2 geef even aan welke je beter vindt, dan moeten we wel het navigatiesjabloon per provincie ook even aanpassen, denk ik. :Ha Pelikana, Dat vindt ik prima! Mijn voorkeur heeft dan "''Gates of South Holland in art''".  Wat mij persoonlijk betreft laat ik je hierin de ruimte om dat zo te doen en zelf zal ik trachten als ik iets dergelijks tegenkom dat dan ook zo te hanteren!
