Deutsch: Johann von Sachsen, vollständiger Name Johann Nepomuk Maria Joseph Anton Xaver Vincenz Aloys Franz de Paula Stanislaus Bernhard Paul Felix Damasus (* 12. Dezember 1801 in Dresden; † 29. Oktober 1873 in Pillnitz) regierte nach dem Tod seines Bruders Friedrich August II. seit 1854 das Königreich Sachsen. Er betätigte sich auch als Übersetzer unter dem Pseudonym Philalethes.
John (de: Johann); 12 December 1801 – 29 October 1873) was a King of Saxony from the House of Wettin. He was the son of Prince Maximilian of Saxony (1759–1838), and his first wife, Princess Carolina of Parma. He became King of Saxony after the death of his brother Frederick Augustus II of Saxony in 1854. John was succeeded as king by his son Albert of Saxony.
