User talk:Bermiego
Thank you for providing images to the commons. Please keep in mind that images and other files on the commons must be under a free license and should be usefull to the wikimedia projects. To allow others to use your files, some additional information must be given on the description page. Most importantly:
- Describe what it is about in a short sentence. (What does the image show?)
- State the author and the date of creation. If you made it yourself, say so explicitely.
- If you did not create the file yourself, state the source you got it from.
- Add a Copyright tag - images without a appropriate license tag will be deleted.
- Add the image to one or more gallery pages and/or appropriate Categories, so it can be found by others.
If you copied the file from another wiki, please copy all information given there and say who uploaded it to that wiki.
Please add as much information as possible. If there is not sufficient information, the file may have to be deleted.
For more Information, have a look at Commons:criteria for inclusion and the Community Portal. If you need help or have questions, please ask at the village pump. Thank you. -- Duesentrieb 23:31, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Francis turbine
[edit]Dear Af3, you uploaded Image:Francis Turbine Low flow.jpg and Image:Francis Turbine High flow.jpg and named the original uploader pud. Please be more carefull in finding out who did the pictures. This ist not a big deal now, but if if you name the original uploader wrong it is against GFDL. Nothing happened here, wish you a good night and much fun at wikipedia. Best regards -- Stahlkocher 21:17, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

transfer to commons
[edit]Hey! While transfering images from local Wikipedias to Wikimedia Commons please pay attention to use the correct licence tags from the original uploader and to mention his name – otherwise it’s a violation of copyrights. Commons helper is a nice tool to automate image transfer – give it a try. Regards,
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Af3. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Af3~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
