Synopsis for "The Worlds Outside Your Window"

On Earth 8 American Crusader is worried that Machinehead has not reported in since he left on his latest multiverse mission, although his fellow Retaliators are unconcerned. Suddenly, a hero named Doctor Multiverse emerges from a portal carrying Machinehead's helmet, telling them that she found his body in a state of dimensional flux between two worlds. As is common on Earth 8, the Retaliators and Doctor Multiverse do not get along and they tell her to leave, but she warns them that a crack in the Multiverse has appeared on Earth 8 and has drawn their enemy Tartarus to Angor. The Retaliators charge into battle against Tartarus' army.

Meanwhile on Earth 0, Avery Ho foils Replicant from destroying all the banks in China in the hopes of making his preferred cryptocurrency more valuable. She is observed by President Superman and the Flashpoint Batman. Despite Thomas' concerns that she is too inexperienced, Superman recruits her into Justice Incarnate, now calling themselves Justice League Incarnate, and takes her to the House of Heroes. They need a Flash to track the crack in the Multiverse and rescue Barry Allen, and he gave instructions that if anything happened to him they should recruit Avery as his replacement. Avery agrees, although she feels out of her depth. President Superman asks her to run on a Quantum Treadmill which Barry designed; using her speed and Earth 0 dimensional vibrations, Harbinger will be able to pinpoint the exact location of the crack and take them to it.

The Quantum Treadmill transports Avery, President Superman, Batman and Captain Carrot to a ruined New York City on Earth 8. Tartarus has defeated the Retaliators and both Crusader and Behemoth are dead. Silver Eagle does not want their help as the Multiverse has once again brought destruction to Earth 8, revealing that the Retaliators knew about Machinehead's deal with Psycho-Pirate and voted to align with Darkseid for the sake of their world. Doctor Multiverse tries to stop Tartarus, but he is too strong for her and Justice League Incarnate are unable to reach her as they fight his army, however, the heroes are inadvertently saved when Darkseid arrives, also seeking the crack. Tartarus had a deal with one of Darkseid's prior incarnations to leave Earth 8 alone for Tartarus to conquer, but now he is whole Darkseid has no need of such treaties and the two cosmic titans brawl.

Doctor Multiverse suggests she may be able to combine her powers with the Flash's and send the crack away from Earth 8 while Darkseid and Tatarus are distracted fighting each other. Darkseid snaps Tartarus' neck just as the crack disappears, but he has the technology to track it and follows it through a Boom Tube. Doctor Multiverse is able to hold it open for the heroes to follow but Avery is too scared and overwhelmed to go through, until Doctor Multiverse encourages her and assures her she is a true hero and they jump in together.

Back in the House of Heroes, Justice League Incarnate lose track of the away team when they step into the tube. Aquawoman suggests they follow them to Earth 8, but another Boom Tube opens within the House itself and Orion emerges, announcing he is taking command of Justice League Incarnate and knows how to save the Multiverse. However, an army of Parademons lead by Grail and Kalibak attack the House from within the Bleed.
