Professor Theo Haimann taught for 30 years in the School of Business Administration at St. Louis University. He was active at the university until he became ill last month.
Professor Haimann served on the boards of St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights and Cupples House at St. Louis University, and he was a consultant to the Catholic Health Association for about 20 years.
He was the author of numerous books on business and health-care management.
Professor Haimann was born in Koblenz, Germany. Before coming to this country in 1936, he earned his doctorate in international law at the University of Bonn and a master's degree from The Sorbonne in Paris. He also earned a master's degree in business from Washington University.
