Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G4, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.

Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Unclear why Anomiebot deleted it in the first place. —– Uanfala (talk) 01:55, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

It was meant to be a redirect to Yerukala people; instead it redirected to the redirect Yerukala. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:12, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
So it was deleted because of being a double redirect then? The solution I'd expect to such a problem would be simply repointing it to the ultimate target. Is there any particular benefit in deletion? – Uanfala (talk) 03:42, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
The page Yerukala people did not exist at the time it was deleted, as the page was deleted the previous day. You can recreate the redirect now if you wish. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:00, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Kannan is a Tamil name and the article was a WP:DAB, as shown by this archive. It was recently speedily deleted by @Beetstra as a WP:A7. I can't tell what happened to the article to warrant speedy deletion but I guess an editor turned the dab page into a biographical article. List of Singapore MRT disruptions

Hello, the article "List of Singapore MRT disruptions ", previously at the URL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Singapore_MRT_disruptions, has been deleted. It states "The article that you're looking for doesn't exist." The page's history only goes up to end Nov 2017, so I can't view the reason for deletion. The article is about an important event in Singaporean history, the city-state's 6 year long spell of rapid transit disruptions and related technical faults. —Qwspasot (talk) 13:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Singapore MRT disruptions, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user TonyBallioni (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:38, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

    Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari

Because the content was not sufficient earlier I would like to put it properly in place and request not only undeletions but protection as well allowing a select few users to build up the content - in the event that a mere tweet by this 'non-notable' can affect the outcome of elections in constituencies I would like to consider the said person as pretty notable Nukout (talk) 06:42, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

It was nominated for deletion by a user who sympathizes with an opposing political party and that user created a page for a member of the said party which was deleted - the page itself was not well maintained HOWEVER notability largely may be ascertained by a mere google search in the news and specific events and contributions to society by the individual mentioned across media such as The Scotsman, BBC, Newsweek and other publications internationally as well as published books (ISBN - 978-1-4331-0336-0) —Nukout (talk) 06:42, 7 February 2018 (UTC) [1] [2]. I should note that that region of the world generally has a fundamental misunderstanding of what Wikipedia actually is, as demonstrated by the Express Tribune characterising Wikipedia articles as "profiles" as if it were a social media site. The article also makes a couple other critical researching errors, stating that a subject needed "primary and secondary sources" (primary sources do not count for notability, and this is actually acknowledged earlier in same article), seems utterly mystified about the WP:Articles for deletion process (it claims Aseefa Bhutto Zardari was reinstated after a second AfD nomination, when the actual AfD closed as "delete and redirect", and characterises the rather civil discussion as "heated") and states the PPP has an "official" page (they don't.) —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 08:28, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

We don't host material already published elsewhere. This is a copyright violation. Even if you have permission to reproduce it, Wikipedia doesn't have permission, and we don't rely on the word of random Wikipedia accounts for such permission.
Whether it is "true" or not is irrelevant. If you don't meet our inclusion criteria as spelled out in Wikipedia:Notability and particularly Wikipedia:Notability (people), you cannot have an article here.
Furthermore don't write about yourself on Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't place to "establish a profile". This is an encyclopedia of human knowledge. If you want a profile page, go to a social media site such as Facebook. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:54, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article was deleted as non-notable with minimal discussion and merged into Pomona College. However, article is notable in that TSL is the oldest student newspaper in Southern California; student newspapers of similar reputation (age, awards, student body size served) most often have Wikipedia pages. As I alluded to above, very few people participated in the discussion about the deletion, and the few who did were clearly not familiar with the subject and thus erred in their decision. If this isn't it, where would be the appropriate forum to challenge the decision? - Sdkb (talk) 01:37, 10 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
No, it did not - the edits remain in the history of that page (see here). Deletion wipes out the history. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 02:38, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Explicit (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:35, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Note: This page has been deleted multiple times as an abandoned draft article. As Articles for creation, the Draft space, and user subpages are not to be used to indefinitely host material inappropriate for the encyclopedia, what exactly would you do to help make the draft get accepted as an article? —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 06:14, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Jéské Couriano: For these it is best for the potential restorer to look to see if the page was truly abandoned after its prior restoration. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:07, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
