Hi! I'll be reviewing your page. I'm brand new to reviewing, so there may be areas that I will overlook, but a quick scan seems like this will be an easy page to review. Theknine2 (talk) 09:30, 26 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Infobox and lead

edit
  • "...and the United Kingdom and received multi-platinum certifications...", place a comma between "united Kingdom" and "and".

Background and release

edit
  • The tone for "..., but all of her albums failed to reach the top 25 on the American albums chart..." could be adjusted to be more neutral. Also, "projects" and "albums" are mentioned in the same sentence, when I assume they refer to the same thing?
  • "She worked with songwriters like Amy Allen, Skyler Stonestreet, Julia Michaels, and Steph Jones." probably not necessary in this article.

Reception

edit
  • At the end of "Slate's Chris Molanphy described the song as "a neo-disco bop", and American Songwriter's Alex Hopper called it a "pop gem".[20][4]", citation 4 (Slate) should be placed before citation 20 (American Songwriter).
  • For "The song received a 3× platinum certification in Brazil[47] and gold in Poland and Portugal", place citation 47 at the end of the sentence, or insert a comma after "Brazil".

Music video

edit
  • "takes a photograph up Carpenter's skirt without the flash turned off" could be rephrased to "with the flash turned on".
  • "It is then revealed that Carpenter is at the church to attend a joint funeral for the men that have died during the course of the video", this sentence could use a comma or a few.
  • The Controversy sub-section needs a paragraph break somewhere.

Live performances

edit
  • Ok

Others

edit
  • "Credits and personnel", "Charts", "Certifications" and "Release history" are also Ok.
  • References are all formatted correctly
  • No copyvio

Aside from a few minor adjustments, I am ready to give this a pass! Great song, I've seen Sabrina perform this on The Eras Tour (she's beautiful live), and it's been fun reading about it. Theknine2 (talk) 10:32, 26 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review, Theknine2. I believe I have made all the adjustments. Completely agree with you about the great performances of this song. This is the one that got me into Carpenter so I must concur with the critic that characterized it as a bop.--NØ 12:14, 26 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Pass. And happy Short n' Sweet release week to you! Theknine2 (talk) 13:29, 26 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
