a concise definition at the beginning
editI thought, in a journalistic way, that there should be a simple and clear one sentence definition for the layman at the beginning of the article. A frond is a botanical term but it also has considerable use as an English word, apart from the precision of a scientific definition. The extensive peroration that follows is useful for the less casual user or for someone who wants to be as precise as possible; however, I found it difficult to understand from the article what a frond actually is without using links, and that struck me as less helpful than perhaps it ought to be. I have footnoted the Webster's definition. NaySay 20:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Point of View
editI disagree with the tone and some specifics of this article. While there is some variation in how botanists apply this term, it is barely a technical term. There are no references for this article, and I plan to rewrite the article and include references. If anyone disagrees with my changes, make edits and we can discuss this.
