editAccording to the player himself, and all the arab sports websites, the player is born in 1984 not 1983 as referenced in most of the foreign references.
What proves this is that he became a member of the first team in Ittihad in 2005 season after being 21. In Egyptian League, as long as the player is under 21 years old, his name is included in the youth team squad but can play with the first team. (AbdulRahman14 (talk) 22:26, 25 January 2010 (UTC))

contract until 2012??
editThere are several articles on the net about a controversy if Gedo first extended his Ittihad contract (until 2011) or signed a new contract with Zamalek--all talking about the second half or probably end of 2009. So the information about him extending his contract in 2008 until 2012 seems to be wrong. --Ibn Battuta (talk) 01:18, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
