editI have reason to believe that my great-grandfather was the last resident of this building. I understand Norris was a boarding house by this time, but John Edward Sanford died in May 1970, and his death certificate lists 421 N Blount Street in Raleigh as his home address (as does his wife and informant). They might have been among the last to rent the house. I only have primary resources to indicate this, sadly, so I don't know if there's much I can do about it other than say something here. The source in the article is close, but not quite accurate. mftp dan oops 23:11, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
