A tectonic plate?

edit

Is there any othe source that agree with the view that parts of Ecuador and Colombia belong a plate by its own? As far as I know these regions use to be considered part of the South American plate. —Mamayuco (talk) 18:19, 13 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think the bibliography list is extensive enough to show papers that support the agreement over North Andes being its own plate, but i'm gonna post some sources that aren't there but agree with this vie as well:

Kellog J.N.: Cenozoic tectonic history of the Sierra de Perijá, Venezuela-Colombia, and adjacent basins (1984) Freymueller et.al: Plate motions in the North Andean region (1993) Diederix: Quaternary Activity of the Bucaramanga Fault in the Departments of Santander and Cesar (2020) --Tuhondre (talk) 20:24, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
